MARGARET Alex’s words from earlier flashed in my mind the entire drive back. How dare he say that I was insane? He’d never spoken to me like that before, and it worried me. I wanted to scream at him, to tell him that he was wrong, but I knew better. I’d known Alex since I was a child, and I knew that it was best not to anger him at times like this.
