He spoke with such unwavering seriousness that for a moment, I was almost tempted to believe him.
He’d been acting strange over the past week. It was surprising how much he could change in such a short period of time and it was beginning to give me whiplash. The more I thought about it, the more confused I got. I just wanted out of the marriage so I could put it all behind me.
