Using the straightener I straightened my hair and smiled at the sum.
I look pretty.
I put on blue and white eye shadow and curled my eyelashes, I put on nude pink lipstick and took out the dress from my closet, wearing it and pairing it with nude pink heels.
I got my clutch where my phone and lipstick is and went out of my room for my dad to be down the staircase, annoyingly glanced at his wristwatch with an angry expression at his face.
At least I made him angry, that's a plus to my good mood.
I walked down the staircase amused at my father.
"What? You don't have another wh0re for your date?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
Every party we attend there's this wh0re who tries to win me over by being nice and I hate it because they have this PDA in the car
My father glared at me, "We're already late," he told me while speed walking to the door, I rolled my eyes and followed close.
I sighed when I saw the vehicle we're riding in, a limousine, obviously.
I slipped in and crossed my arms.
My father is typing on his phone and doing things he shouldn't be doing while going to a party, he's working!
Can you believe him? He's working while he's going to his best friend's wife's birthday.
For shame!
"I don't want you making a scene there, Jade, you've already humiliated me more than once." my father hissed at me and I rolled my eyes, ignoring the ache on my chest.
"When did I not make a scene in a party?" I ask, smiling smugly at him.
Yeah, when did I not make a scene?
Every party my father brings me to I make a scene, if it's not a fight, it's a b***h off.
It's not my fault, they all hate me because of my natural good looks, the only look beautiful because of two words: Plastic Surgery.
My father sighed, "Just, don't try to kill anyone, I can't bail you out if you do." he told me and I nodded, "That I can do." and he gave another frustrated sigh and I grin.
The car pulled to a stop and my father is the first one to step out, I grabbed my clutch and got out, flashing a dazzling smile at the photographers.
The birthday girl must be a socialite then. Well, I'm not surprised, it's my father's best friend's wife, my father doesn't make friends with low-lives.
His words not mine.
We climbed some stairs to reach a door that reveals a beautiful big room that can pass off as a throne room.
My father mingled with his "friends" and when they acknowledge me I just give them one of my dazzling smiles.
You see what I did there? Yeah, I could be an actress.
When I see girls my age they sneer at me and I just smirk back, making fuel added to the flame.
They're easy to piss off.
I sip the champagne I got from a passing waiter when my dad pulled me towards another one of his friends.
I sighed before flashing another smile, "Is this your daughter? She's so lovely!" the lady said and I pretended to blush, "Thank you, you look lovely yourself." I tell her with a smile.
The lady giggle, "What a charmer, you raised a fine daughter, Austin." she told my father.
Yeah, fine daughter indeed, until I make a scene but I won't start it, of course, I'm playing the victim.
When they both got into a conversation I look around the area when my eyes caught a handsome brunette, looking at me.
I raised my eyebrow at him and he just raised his glass, I raised my glass too in reply.
He doesn't look old, he at least looks my age or a year older.
Suddenly Mr.Adams walked towards us with a beautiful lady in his arm, I smiled at him and he waved.
When he reaches us the lady already left and my father and Mr.Adams started talking, "Hello, Jade, this is my wife, Cindy." he introduced his wife.
I smiled at him then at his wife, "Hello, I'm Jade, happy birthday and it's nice to meet you." I tell her and she smiled warmly at me and I couldn't help but give a genuine one back.
I'll just feel guilty if I act fake to a genuine person. She looks really nice... and warm.
"You’re Jade? You grew to be so beautiful! Can I hug you?" she asked and I slowly nodded, she hugged me and I wrapped my arms around her.
"You know my mother?" I ask softly and she pulled back nodding, tears in her eyes, "We're friends for a very long time, we've gone through hell but we're still friends." she told me and I nodded.
She's really beautiful, she has dyed red hair (I noticed her brown roots) and brown eyes.
"I'm sorry but what's your name?" I ask and she grins at me, "I'm Jessica, you know I've been with your mother even before she was pregnant with you, let me tell you she's got mood swings when you were in her tummy, she sometimes laughs then she grows angry but it was worth it because you came along."
I smiled and my father suddenly coughed, "Let's don't talk about Melissa." he told them and Jessica nodded.
"Do you have any kids?" I ask Jessica and she shook her head, "Sadly no, my womb is too weak to carry a baby." I felt sudden sadness for her.
I shouldn't have asked that, now I feel guilty and all.
She must be lonely when her husband's not around.
"I'm sorry for asking," I apologized, guilty.
She laughed, "It's okay." but her eyes says "it's not okay."
My eyes wondered to the handsome brunette who's talking with a beautiful stranger.
I sighed, oh, he's taken.
Sad
I silently walked away and went towards the food table, I got a plate and about to pick when a beach blonde walked towards me with a raised eyebrow.
"Can I help you?" I asked when she just stood there glaring at me, she scoffed, "Yes you can, I want you to stay away from my mate." she sneered and I raised an eyebrow while placing the plate down and taking my flute.
"Mate? as in friend? are you Australian?" I ask with a smile and she just glared at me, "Don't pretend you don't know what a mate is, b***h, he's mine." she glared daggers at me.
Who the hell is this crazy b***h talking about?
"Who's yours?" a deep velvety voice asked and my eyes snapped towards the brunette I saw earlier.
He smelled divine up close and I clenched my fists to stop myself from launching on him.
This is just hormones, I think.
The girl shook her head, panicking.
I snorted and took a sip from my flute.
When the girl shuffled away the brunette smiled at me, "I'm Luke," he stretched his hand and I took it shaking it and smiling at him.
I pull my hand away when I felt tingles, I hid my hand behind my back, "I'm Jade." I tell him and he nodded.
When he didn't say anything else, I placed my flute down and walked away from him, walking towards the bathroom.
When I reached the bathroom I saw the girl earlier fuming and facing the mirror she looked at me when I entered.
I smirked at her and waved, "You." she hissed and I raised my eyebrows amused, "Little ol' me?" I mocked her and she clenched her jaw.
"Stay away from Luke, he's mine, okay?"
"Oh? Luke's an object now?"
"Shut up, smartass."
"No I won't shut up, little slut." I smirked when she went red with anger.
"You know, that dress doesn't suit a little slut like you, try to be original, I know you're trying to copy Taylor Swift's outfit on the Oscar's." I said before turning on my heel and walking out of the bathroom.
I haven't taken five steps before I felt someone pull my hair, I screeched, catching almost everyone's attention.
She pushed me down and climbed on top of me, I slapped her and kneed her in the stomach, she pulled on my hair, trying to scratch my face but I slapped her hands away.
She's suddenly pulled off me and someone helped me stand up, Jessica's the one helping me up so I started sobbing into her shoulder.
She rubbed my back, comfortingly.
"I-I was just going to go out when she attacked me," I sobbed and I heard the girl screech in anger, "She's lying!"
I glanced at her and smirked, making sure she's the only one that can see that.
My father is the one holding her back and he just had a blank face, he already knows that this is the "scene" I'm making.
"Please escort her out. Jessica said in a firm tone and some dudes pulled her away.
At least I didn't put eyeliner or I'll look like a mess right now.
After that everyone went to their own problems.
The party finished and the guests started to go home and I and my father did go home after we said our goodbyes to Jessica and Mr.Adams.
My father's angry.
When we reached back in our home, he flung the door open and stormed into the house.
I snorted at his behavior and got my clutch, stepping out of the limousine and following him inside our house.
"What's your problem?" I ask him and he turns around to face me, "What's my problem?!" he yelled and I shrugged.
Why is he asking me? Ask himself.
"Is this about the scene?" I asked while crossing my arms, he glared at me, "That and you just had to talk about Melissa!" he yelled and I gaped at him.
"So what if I talk about mom?! I was only with her for eight years before she disappeared! You think it's easy for a kid to grow up without a mother?!" I yelled back, anger bubbling inside me.
"That's not an excuse for the scene earlier!" he told me and I flung my arms, "I never said it was!" I screeched and he clenched his fists.
"I told you to not make a scene but you just had to humiliate me in front of almost all of my friends!" he yelled.
"Oh, now it's my fault again?! It's always my f*cking fault, right?! It was my fault that my mother left me when I was eight! It's my fault that b***h pulled my hair! It's my fault that I lost my father too when my mother disappeared! It's my fault I grew up for my father to be bringing wh0res in my mother's house! It's my fault! Well I'm damned sorry for being born!" I yelled, throwing my clutch which sent my phone flying and breaking the screen.
I stormed past him and to the stairs, "Emily..." My father softly called but I ignored him and stormed up to my room where I flung the door close.
I yelled in the top of my lungs.
Throwing all the things my hands can hold.
I threw the picture frame that we took when I was seven.
I threw my books.
I threw the music box my father gave me.
I threw the pendant my sister gave me. I threw every damned thing my hands can f*cking clutch.
I yelled for one last time before breaking down, sitting against the door, biting my lip until I draw blood.
I breathed heavily before I fell into deep slumber.
