Chapter 14

I smiled at him, tilting my head back to stare into his eyes. Sometimes I hate being short (even when I'm sitting up) but it has its pro's and con's. "Why the goofy smile?" he asks while raising his eyebrows, I shook my head, "Nothing." He hissed my forehead. He circled his arms around my waist and placed his chin on my shoulder, "Tell me." I shrugged my shoulder where his chin is not placed on. My woman is sore and I shifted my weight to get comfortable and I leaned into Sean. "I'm just happy." I replied and he smiled, kissing my cheek, "Me too." I pulled away from him, taking my clothes and speeding to his bathroom and slammed the door. I hear him chuckle and I blush but ignored it. I took a shower and dressed in last night's clothes before stepping out, Sean's already dressed and his covers are still not replaced because there's the dried up blood in the middle of the bed from last night's events. I took a deep breath. I blushed before walking towards Sean who smiled at me and wrapped an arm around my waist, "Let's take you home, to rest." he whispered in my ear and I nod walking out of the room with him. Resting my head on his shoulder. * * * * * "SO give me details." Sophia grins while lying on my bed, her brown hair sprawled on my pillow. She's so beautiful that I envy her sometimes but envy doesn't take you anywhere and she's my best friend. I shook my head, looking through my closet, "I can't tell you," I tease and she pouted but didn't push on the topic. I'm too shy to share that night with her and it's private, it between me and Sean. She respects my words and I love her for that. She changed the topic. "Should I dye my hair blue or should I just highlight it with electric blue?" she asks while rolling her brown hair with her finger. I smiled at her. I tapped my chin before shrugging, "I don't know, I like your hair that way. You remind me of my sister that way, you know, with the brown hair and brown eyes." I said while pointing at her hair then her eyes. I miss my sister, but she's working, I respect her life. My sister always dreamed of being a model and now she's got her dream who am I to always call her when she's busy. I don't want to be a pain. She rolled her eyes, "That's the point! I'm your best friend! not your sister-well practically your sister- but I don't want you to look at me as Ruby, I want you to look at me as Sophia, your ultimate awesome BFF." she grinned and I smiled nodding. "Okay then, surprise me." I said while focusing back on looking through my closet. I really like, Sophia. She's laid back and fun, much of a party goer but still fun and funny. My other best friend, Amanda, is flirty, also pretty, also a party goer but she doesn't get the jokes that Sophia and I crack. She's slightly boring but I still love her. "Get dressed faster, how can we find your boyfriend when your slow as my grandma." she snorts and I glare at her. I'm not slow! "I don't know what to wear." I said frustrated and sitting on my floor. Sean hasn't called me since this morning, I tried calling and texting him but he hasn't replied to any of my calls or texts. A friend called and said that he's in Amanda's party so me and Sophia is going to follow him and I'm worried about him, he's weird, he's never not answered any of my calls or texts even when we aren't a thing then. Maybe I did something wrong and he's angry at me, at least I can say sorry for what I've done. Sophia stood up and pulled out black skinny jeans and a white crop top while giving me her black leather jacket. "Wear this and pair them with the black ankle heeled boots I gave you." she orders me and I nod, taking the shoes she said and went to the bathroom to quickly change. Sophia, always the life (fashion) saver. I step out of the bathroom and we went outside to Sophia's car, My knee bounced up and down while I looked out of the window. Sophia slipped in and shut her door close and started to drive to our destination, "Stop worrying, he'll be okay. He just doesn't have credit or something." Sophia assures me and I nod, sighing. She's right, he'll be okay, no need to worry. When we reached the house lard music is thumping from Amanda's house and I'm surprised that the neighbors hasn't called the cops yet. Well, everyone will flee when the cops would arrive so it's no use calling the cops on them and Amanda's parents are cool with her having a party. "I'll wait here," Sophia said and I nodded, stepping out on the grass and walking to the front door, I didn't bother knocking. I think she knows we're not here for a party and Amanda is angry at Sophia at the moment because of a misunderstanding. They'll clear it up sooner or later. I opened the door and almost barfed at the stench of alcohol, sweat, vomit and another scent of something I can't put my finger on. Must be cocaine. How can they have their hands on drugs, anyway? I scrunched my nose in disgust and looked around for Sean, I saw some of his friends but I know that they don't know me. I'm the nobody. I pushed through people who cursed or glared at me in return but I ignored them while searching for Sean, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I stared into blue orbs. "Sean's in the balcony." he said while pointing at the stairs and I nodded smiling at my friend before going up stairs and to the balcony where he said Sean is. The balcony door is slightly a-jar so when I stepped in I stared at Amanda and Sean lip-locking, I think they noticed my presence 'cause Sean stared at me wide-eyed. Wow, my best friend and boyfriend kissing behind my back. That's new. I should cross that off my bucket list. X - Getting cheated by your boyfriend with your best friend. "Emily-" he said but I raised a hand, "Save it." This is the worsts feeling than my father doing it to my mother. I looked at Amanda straight in the eye, "Our friendship is over, bye slut." I said waving and pain flashed through her eyes but I ignored it turning away and walking away from the balcony. I feel pain on my chest and I sighed. The two people who I trusted most was the one who back stabbed me. At least Sophia isn't like them. I ran down the stairs shoving people out of the way and glaring at them when they cursed at me, I shoved until I reached the front door and I stepped out the cool air meeting my face. I speed walked to Sophia's car when I felt a hand on my wrist spinning me around to meet Sean (you know the back stabbing, cheating ass of a boyfriend), "Please, Emily, listen-" I shook my head. "You're just like him." It didn't take a genius to know who I was talking about. Pain passed through his eyes that held love, I remembered Amanda doing that earlier. "You disgust me." I said monotone and his lips turned into a straight line, "I'm sorry." "What's done is done." He sighed placing a hand on the back of my neck and hugged me but I pulled away, "I hate you." He shook his head, "No you don't." Pain is clear in his voice and my heart broke for him, he doesn't deserve my heart. "Yes I don't hate you, I still love you but I also hate you. You're just like him, you disgust me." I said shaking my head. He turned silent after that. What could he say? I already saw him kissing my best friend, what else can that say? "I'm drunk, please-" I cut him off by holding on to his collar and pulling him to my face close, our lips just inches from each other before I pushed him away. "No you're not, you haven't touched alcohol or drank any." I said. I don't smell any alcohol on him, just the perfume I gave Amanda for her birthday, they both disgust me and I scowled at him a dark expression shadowing my face. "Let's end this." I said before turning my back at him and walking away.
