I picked up the phone on my desk and called Scarlett's number in a quiet but firm voice. “I want you to come to my office. Right now.”
On the other end, there was a heavy silence. Since she ignored me all morning, I knew she was mad. Not a single time had she looked at me, and I wasn't going to let that defiant silence go.
