Chapter 45

Annalisa’s POV

Did he just yell at me? I know my mate did not just yell at me. We haven’t even started working on our relationship and this is how he wants to start things? The guys behind me growl in response to his yelling.

“ENOUGH” I yell

“Guys, reign it in. This is King Nicholas Barker. The werewolf King and my mate”

“Your Highness” they say in unison, bowing

“ANNA…..” he starts

“Stop! We will talk inside”

I scan the card to enter the suite, and we all enter

“Anna, we are going to head home. You guys need time to talk. Thank you for the gift and we will talk tomorrow” Quinn says

They all agree. They go to their rooms and get their bags. We hug and they leave. Of course, Nicholas growls, and I can feel his anger every time one of them hugged me, but I don’t care. These men are special to me and like my brothers. He needs to get his anger under control. Bad enough, he yelled at me.

“WHY ARE YOU HERE WITH UNMATED MEN? YOU HAVE A MATE. THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL” he starts yelling once the door closes

I go to the kitchen and get water. I proceed to sit down and stay quiet until he calms down

“I AM YOUR MATE. YOU KNEW I WAS COMING AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN CARE TO COME TO ME. YOU SPENT ALL YOUR TIME WITH THEM”

“ONE WOMAN AND FOUR GUYS? FOUR GUYS, ANNA? I LOOK LIKE AN i***t. AM I SUPPOSED TO BE OKAY WITH THIS?”

“YOU ARE BEHAVING LIKE A w***e! ONLY w***e’S HANG WITH MULTIPLE MEN. ARE YOU f*****g THEM? DO YOU f**k ALL OF THEM OR JUST ONE OR TWO? DO YOU LET THEM ALL HAVE YOU? THAT’S WHY THEY LIKE BEING WITH YOU? WHY ELSE WOULD TWENTY-YEAR-OLD MEN WANT TO BE AROUND A 17 YEAR OLD CHILD?”

“YOU CAN’T BE AROUND THEM ANYMORE! I FORBID IT! YOU ARE MY MATE AND YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY. YOU WILL SUBMIT TO ME! YOU WILL STOP THIS WARRIOR STUFF AND COME BACK WITH ME TO THE CASTLE”

“YOU HEAR ME ANNA?”

I get up and do a jumping spinning hook kick to the left side of his head. He is knocked out and now lying on the floor in the living room. I sit down and finish my bottle of water.

“Xander?” I say as he picks up my call

“Where’s Nicholas Anna? And you are on speaker, the whole family is here. We are having lunch”

“He’s sleeping. Hi everyone” I yell

“Hi” they all yell

“Good job yesterday” Uncle Derrick yells

“Did you give the boys their gifts? Did they like them?” grandpa asks

“They did. I had to tell them who I am, but they’re good. Thank you for helping me pick them out grandpa”

“Annalisa, where is Nicholas?” Xander asks again

“I told you he was sleeping Xander”

“He came to see you. Why is he sleeping?”

“Maybe we had wild passionate s*x, and he fell asleep” I say jokingly

"What happened to Nicholas, Anna?" he asks concerned

“Nothing! He's sleeping. Because I kicked him in the head” I say as I answer the door and room service wheels the food in

“ANNA? Did you knock out your mate” my aunt yells

“I did. He came here yelling at me, calling me names, disrespecting me and demanding I return to the palace and stop being a warrior. I will probably reject him when he wakes up. I was just letting you know I may not be back until much later or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes for him to wake up. I am also riding my bike back. I don’t know if the driver who bought him is still here. If so, get him a room and food”

“Anna, please don’t reject my cousin” Xander says

“I’m sorry Xander, I can’t make that promise”

“He’s your second chance, Anna. You may not get another one” grandma says

“Then that is something I will have to live with. But I will not be disrespected and talked to the way he did. He is looking for a submissive little wife to follow behind him and take care of the kids. That's not me and I won't change to satisfy a man, mate or not”

“Anna, give him a chance. He doesn’t know you and this is all new to him” Teresa says

“I will see guys. I make no promises. See you later” I say and hang up

I take my food and eat while watching a movie
