Accidentally Married

Chapter Four

Kate POV

Two weeks have passed and I am going to meet up with an agent for my new apartment today since she agreed that we meet on Sunday evening.

I recently found a cozy apartment not far from the University, which will help me save up a lot of money that I spent on gas, or on Uber and cabs.

Ring…Ring…Ring…

Kate: Kate hello?

Agent: Good morning Dr. Brown this is Gertrude from Remax housing, I am calling to remind you about the appointment you have with us at noon. Would you be able to make it?

Kate: Good morning Ms, and yes I will be able to make it on time…thank you for reminding me.

Agent: Thank you for confirming, and I will see you there just ten minutes before noon.

I looked at the time and saw that it’s actually nine in the morning…so I have two hours before I can go and check the apartment out. I continue making a lesson plan for my student for the coming week and made a pop quiz for them. Which they do every Friday just to test if they understood everything we did during the week; Mondays are normally presentations of the tasks I gave them which I group them and each group picks a topic within that chapter and on Monday they get to present their findings in class.

I normally have a guest lecture to come and see my student presents and give them reviews at the end of their presentation and my students actually love it when they get positive feedback from other lectures.

Soon it stroked quarter past eleven and I changed into my maxi floral red dress and took my brown mini slay bag, I started to request for Uber and the app said that my driver will be downstairs in two minutes, now knowing myself that I will be taking breaks on the staircase from my floor till I get on the lobby so I took my keys and locked my apartment and had my forced exercise.

I got downstairs on time to find that my ride has arrived also…

I got in the car and greeted Mark my uber driver. The guy made some chitchats about the weather and how other clients never rate them…FYI I am one of those people that never rates, I just get off the car and move on with my life, but here I have to play the good guy.

We soon reached my destination and got off and sent him well, didn’t have to pay since I used card payment.

I saw a red hair lady with hazel eyes who looks to be 5’6 that’s just my guess anyway. She is wearing a bodycon brown rib-knit slit hem dress with sandals heels…I worked to her and gave her a professional smile.

“Hello, you must be Dr. Brown…” she said extending her hand for me to shake

“Please call me Kate…” I shook her hand and we both walked into the building together.

We soon reached the door of the apartment, she opened it and ushered me to walk in first.

We started going room by room checking it out and I just fall in love with the main bedroom, and the fact that the apartment is spacious for me and that I can actually turn one of the bedrooms into a study room since it’s a three-bedroom apartment.

“So when can I sign the contract?” I asked Gertrude and she realized a sign of relief.

“You just need to fill this up every section and we will run a background check on you then get back to you after a week or so. Sometimes it takes about three days for you to know that you qualify.”

She handed me forms then I started to fill everything…

From the name, gender, age, and marital status to my work information and last but not least my signature.

Reiley POV

Today marks exactly two weeks since I became a married man to my lovely wife who I always watch from far.

I must say that married life is totally bliss!

I have been spying on Kate every moment I get, I know that she loves going for a run in the evening and around her nearby park. And goes to a yoga class every Saturday morning with her friend Vanessa, the two of them finish each other’s sentence like middle school kids…but anyway my wife and her BFF do it better.

Today being Sunday I won’t be able to drive by her neighborhood and see my sexy wife have her run.   

I got in my car and drive to my parents’ mansion…

I drove for about two hours then stopped at the gate and used my remote to open it, it took forever to open, I guess I should might as well give it to the guard so that he can renew the batteries for me.

My parents’ front porch came to view and I saw a car that I didn’t recognize on the driveway and just brushed it off that my parents must be having guests this evening. I walked into the house and I was greeted by my nanny Esther, well she raised my siblings and I so we still call her Nanny E till this day.

“Rey-Rey…you finally came home!” she smiled at me and I just leaned and gave her a kiss on her forehead

“Hello my love…did you miss me that much that you didn’t let Kellan open the door for me?” she just blushed and ushered me inside taking my blazer 

“Where is everyone Nanny E?” I asked as soon as I notice that the house is unusually quiet.

“Everyone is waiting for you in the garden child, hurry your mother has a surprise for you.” She gave me a wink and shoo me to the garden.

I got to the garden and saw my parents with Mr. and Mrs. Gibson and a young self-made blond hair lady. I looked around for my siblings and saw none of them there…

“Good evening everyone…” they all turned towards me and my mom walked to me and gave me a kiss and hug.

“Hello…son.” Her smile was reaching her ears and this could only mean one thing and that is she is trying to hook me up with the wanna-be blondy.

“Mom…you look happy? Did Aqua pass with distinctions again? And talking about her where is she and Christian?”

I went to shake my dad’s hand and greeted the Gibson and the wanna-be blondy.

The lady took forever to let go of my hand…normally I would have been pleased but right now I am just disgusted. I roughly pulled my hand and looked at my parents with raised eyebrows.

“Aqua went to the movies with her friends and Christian went to take a call.” Mom answered the question I asked forever ago

I nodded at her and signaled her and dad to have a word with me in private.

We excused ourselves from the Gibson and walked to the family room and saw that Christian was watching TV.

“What is going on Mom? Who is that?” I asked as soon as I closed the family room doors

“Mom set you up, big brother…” Christian answered with a smug

“I can see that i***t…what I wanna know is why she would do that!” I raised my voice at my family which I never do.

“Reiley!” my father also raised his voice.

I just stormed out of my parents and walked to the front door and took my blazer and left…I heard my mother yell after me but I didn’t barge.
