"Was that your boyfriend?" Malcolm asked once I returned from walking my dog.
"Who? Evan? No. Why?"
"You two looked like a couple." He said.
"He's one of my close friends." I scoffed.
I just realized that my gang haven't met Malcolm yet.
"Who's one of your close friends?" My mom nearly gave me a heart attack.
"Bacon!" I covered up right away.
"But I thought you said---"
"I know what I said." I covered Malcolm's mouth.
"You said that you were going to buy new pairs of bras, right? Why don't you take your brothers with you to the mall?" Mom suggested.
Wow. She might as well tweet it to the whole world that I need some new pairs of undies.
"No need."
"Oh but I insist." My mom grinned like the wicked witch of the West.
******
I find it really awkward whenever I shop lingerie for some unknown reason.
Now it just got a whole lot awkward with two teenage guys by my side.
"Need some help?" Malcolm said seriously.
What does he even know about women's underwear?
"I read in a magazine once that cotton's really comfortable." Malcolm cleared his throat.
"But I think lace is sexy. This one would look great on you. And this one. Ooh, this too!" Landon picked some colorful bras for me to try on.
"Wait, what cup are you, sis?" Landon asked me.
"Um, why the hell aren't you guys as uncomfortable as I am?" I blurted out.
"I can tell what her cup size is just by looking at her." I heard someone talk from behind me.
It was Caleb. And Mason was with him too. As well as Levi of course.
The real question here is, why are three gangsters hanging out inside 'Victoria's Secret' store on a weekend?
"We saw you come in here with those two so we stopped by to have a little chat." Levi said.
I guess that answers my question then.
"I never would've expected you to be friends with the captain of the chess club and his juvenile brother." He added.
"I am also captain of the scrabble team." Malcolm chimed in.
"Impressive." I gave him a compliment.
"Thank you."
"Who gives a s**t? Are you dating a geek now or something?" Levi scoffed.
"Actually they're my brothers from another mother." Hey, I can rap.
"Don't care." Levi dragged me inside one of the dressing rooms then pinned me against the wall.
This would've been a romantic situation if I was with a different guy who was actually my type.
"So have you thought about what I said yet?" He pinned both of my arms on the wall and even enclosed both of my legs with his when I attempted to kick him in the nuts.
"I thought I already rejected your offer?" I looked him in the eye.
"I like to keep my hopes up." He smirked.
If I was a normal girl, my knees would have gone jelly by now but I sort of lost all emotions since I learned how to fight.
His devilish charms have zero effect on me.
I was about to bob my head against his but then someone knocked him out with a taser from behind.
The guy looked rather familiar wearing a hoodie.
I just couldn't place where I've seen him before...
And just like that, he vanished into thin air or rather ran away real fast.
Reminds me of a 'shadow hunter' from ‘The Mortal Instruments’ movie.
Girly choice of weapon by the way.
I kept poking Levi's face until he'd gain consciousness but it never happened.
He looks like an angel when he's passed out but when he's wide awake, the complete opposite.
"Oh God! Did you kiss him?!" Caleb gasped when he saw me poking Levi's cheek on the floor.
"Why would I do that?" I grimaced as I backed off.
"Because... I kissed him once." Caleb confessed.
"Okay... I wasn't asking though." I squinted my eyes at him.
"Accidentally of course. And that made him pass out. He's like sleeping beauty in reverse." Caleb blabbed.
"No way." This is some useful information.
"Or maybe he just couldn't tolerate my hotness back then. Poor guy." Caleb thought out loud.
Such a narcissistic playboy. I almost feel sorry for Levi but no.
