Chapter 13

I guess Malcolm carried me to my room last night because I found myself lying in bed the next morning.   I found a piece of paper under my desk during homeroom period.   'We should. My code name's 'Blondie'. Yours?'   The note read. It was a reply for the note that I left last week.   'Blondie' definitely sounds like a girl.   I quickly scanned the room for blonde girls. There's like at least 9 of them, myself included.   Could this be my only chance at befriending the same s*x? I suddenly got excited.   'You can call me 'Bond'. As in James Bond.'   Wait, she might think of me as a boy... oh well.   'Can you give me a hint of who you are?' I added.   "Are you alright? You're smiling like a maniac for no reason." Cody got creeped out as he turned around from his seat.   "Looks who's talking. I'm not the one who's got 'Psycho' as a nickname." I retorted.   Cody's like the most unstable person I know. He loses it whenever we fight. He gets even crazier when he sees blood.   Bit Mason on the arm once like a rabid dog just because he had green hair.   He doesn't really like the guy. I have a feeling it's because I called Mason 'cute' once upon a time.   "Hey boss, what were you smiling about?" Evan poked me from behind.   "Nothing. I just thought about something really funny. A dream from last night about British kings wearing tutus." I lied. It was more of a nightmare really.   Dylan glanced at me from the side and shivered at the thought of ballet.   "You dropped your pencil." The blonde jock with the nose ring on my right handed me the pencil.   "I don't own a pencil." I told him.   "What a lame pick-up line. If I were you I'd do this..." Cody leaned forward to lick the side of my face.   "That was uncalled for." I scolded the guy wearing a long red wig.   And super unladylike too.   "I was just joking around." Cody coughed.   "Thanks for this anyway." I decided to keep the pencil that the blonde jock gave me.   "You forgot my name, didn't you?" Blonde jock says.   "That's alright. Let's start afresh. Jace." He offered his hand for me to shake.   Four set of eyes were now glaring at him, including mine. My gang can be really unfriendly when it comes to other guys.   "Okay..." The guy retreated his hand.   "Wait, you look familiar. Have I seen you someplace else before?" I studied his face as I leaned in closer.   "I don't think so." He stopped facing me.   "That's right! You're the guy from the 'Victoria's Secret' store." My brain finally clicked.   "You like buying women's underwear, huh? Kinky." Cody commented.   "No. I don't know what you're talking about." Jace denied.   I wanted to thank him for tasing Levi but seeing that he's playing dumb for some reason makes me think twice about it.   The jock ignored us for the rest of the period.   *LUNCH*   "Erin, I need help with my makeup." Cody checked himself out with a compact mirror.   "What are you asking me for? You know I don't do makeup." I shrug.   "But you're a real girl. You should at least try." Cody frowned.   "Fine, whatever." I looked at his girly face up close.   I tried applying some blush, a purple eye shadow to bring out his green eyes and a pink lipstick for a change.   "There. All done." I backed away and nearly gagged at my very own creation.   "Oh my God! I'm even more hideous than before!" Cody dropped his mirror.   "I told you I don't do makeup." I gulped.   Evan and Dylan couldn't stop giggling the whole time.   I stood up from our table and was about to put my tray away when a leg came out of nowhere.   My face fell flat on the floor.   "Whoops." Levi sneered as I gazed up to him.   "That's it!" I got REALLY mad.   "Is that... blood on your nose?" Cody's eye twitched as he eyed my face.   "Uh-oh." Evan and Dylan rushed by my side.   His make-up made him look like a girl version of 'Joker' for he was now wearing a big grin on his face.
