"WEE - oww - WEE - oww" Tunog ng kung anong siren sa labas, 'di ko alam kung sa police ba or sa ambulance, it's just that, it does not concern me so who cares? Binalik ko ang aking atensiyon sa ginagawa. Nasa kalahati na ako ng aking pinipinta. His eyes are done since yesterday. I'm currently on his nose. Doing everything I can to not ruin anything that reminding me of the beautiful thing called love. How many years have passed already?? But still I can't move on... I was about to crack my neck when I suddenly heard the heavy knocks on my door. Naiwan sa ere ang pagbabalak kong pag-inat, takang nilapitan ang bintana upang masilip. Wala naman akong inaasahang bisita. I'm alone in this house, may parents are both in States. I'm only child, I don't even have a siblings, and friends? I don't think so, hindi ako lapitin niyan. In short I don't have any close friends. Colleagues at work, yes, but we are not that close to be categorized as friends. Kaya sino? My brows frowned when I saw a couple of cops in front of my door. My heart beats fast as I run towards my art room door. I clicked the door to locked and immediately reached the railing of my stairs. When I heard another heavy knocks, muntik na akong sumemplang. Dang... "Tao po" Followed by heavy knocks again. Kabado na ako. Yung tunog ng siren tila biglang naging horror ang dating. I heard the click of my door knob as I unlocked it to open. Sinilip ko sila at lahat sila dominong nagsitingin sa akin. I saw the cop near my door looked at his folder before looking at me again. "Ikaw ho ba si Alicia Emma Castro?" I frowned again with nervousness. Declaring my full name made me believe that there's something wrong. I felt like I did something, but I know that I did not do anything bad. I gulped as I watched them waiting for my answer. Ayokong umo-o kasi alam kong may kasunod na katanguan pa yon, pero sa tuwing napapadaan ang mata ko sa papel na hawak nito, pakiramdam ko useless ang pagsisinungaling. Bukod doon mukhang importante kasi bakit may limang kapulisan sa harap ng bahay ko! Should I call mom? "Miss?" I flinched and unconciously uttered my YES! As they heard it, the cop talking to me closed the folder and give it to the man behind him then dramatically pulled his cape from his back pocket. He opened it in front of my face and uttered the words that made me shut the door! The freak! They want to do searching at my house! Anong hahanapin nila rito! They slammed it back but too late to stop me! Napalayo ako sa pinto dahil sa impact! and they followed it with heavy knocks again. But this time parang hindi na katok, hampas na! "Miss, resisting like this makes you more suspicious person. We are doing an imbestigation about the recent incident which is your name is involved. Open this door or we will shut it down!" Namawis ako ng malamig, hindi ako makapaniwala. Nalilito, naguguluhan, hindi ko na alam. I lost the strength of my legs that made me slammed myself at the floor. I don't know what is happening, but above everything right now I'm scared that someone will gonna see the secret I have in my Art room. The things I have been hiding all these years will gonna come to light! Nooo! I can't! I pulled myself together and immediately climbed on the stairs. The slamming sounds keep echoing, but my full attention is on my Art room. The secret I have behind that door! How can I hide all of them! I was about to touch the door knob when my front door forcely opened. I gulped... I looked at them entering my house. They immediately search everthing I have down there. I'm doomed... as I watched this police officer climbing to where I am. He locked his suspicious eyes to mine before looking at door beside me. "I'm Sergeant Gustavo Theodore Hart, pardon our intrusion, but we recieved an order to conduct an investigation at your place" I stay quiet. I hold the door knob to ease my anxiety. It's fine with me actually, pero huwag lang sana sa room na ito... His eyes becomes more suspicious as he watched me being so over protective to this room. I cut my eyes from him and looked at the floor instead. "... o-okay lang..." I said with a stutter tone. He nodded in satisfaction "That's good, we thank you for your cooperati—" "H-huwag lang po s-sana sa room na ito..." I heard his heavy sighed. He turned his body and head to ordered his men to search everything. Makakahinga na sana ako ng maluwag nang muli siyang lumakad pabalik. "When I say everything miss, means everything. You better step yourself side or forcely get out from there" Nanlaki ang mata ko. Umiling akong mas lalong idinikit ang sarili sa pinto. Nabablangko na 'ko. I felt so corner right now. What do I do... if someone broke themselve in. I'm gonna die for sure... In shame... "Please sir! Kung ano man ang hinahanap niyo sinisigurado kong wala iyon dito! You mean about the recent incident? Is it a murder or what? If is a thing that used to harm someone. A gun? knife? Wala iyon sa loob! I swear!" Pagmamakaawa ko. I let them search everywhere. They even forcely broke themselves in! Is that even legal! I know that they just following an order, but I think it's too much! His face still blank. He did not even give me sympathy. I know that my words are useless without them seeing what's inside, but it's the only thing I know right now... Wala na akong naiisip na ibang paraan. I'm just hoping that they will understand me, but... My eyes became moist. It's done for me. I though I can hide this forever. I satisfied myself just by drawing him.. looking at him in the eyes that I can't even ever done in the past. I know it's one sided love and I fine with that... but now these people appeared, threatening me to destroy my home... The home that my only reason to stay here in the Philippines, now is in the verge of collapsion... "Tyrone, hold her" I felt a rough hand grabbed me in my arms. Napapikit akong nawalan ng lakas. It's a shame for me to resist that's why I let him. I felt so hopeless as he guide me away from the door. He did not use any force on me, it's just that I followed him. I'm done, the only thing that I can do right now is not giving them the key. Although I know that they will break it like they do in my front door, I'm just gonna use my remaining time here thinking my resolve after this. My heart is very heavy as I heard the slam sounds. Napaupo nalang ako sa sahig at napahilamos. Should I run...? With a final hard strike they finally opened it. Napatungo akong itinakip ang dalawang palad sa mukha. I heard their gasp as they entering one by one. "What the..." Someone said. Hindi ko man nakikita, pero nararamdaman ko ang mga reaksyon nila. Mga gulat man, pero lamang ang pagkamangha. I heard their footsteps roaming around inside, examining everything they saw. As I stay quiet on the floor. The officer's shoes gradually walking towards me and stopped in front me. I heard a paper flip sound followed by a sigh. "You have to come with us. We have a couple of questions for you at the office" It boils me. As I looked at them and saw the other police that still inside my Art room. They touched it! and I suddenly want to release my madnes! How dare them! Coming inside my house and telling me to come with them! for what?! For painting him! It's a sin to painted him?! My face reded with so much unrelease emotions. My tears speaking up for me as I stayed quiet. "For what? What accusation are you going to put on me?" He put his both hands on his pocket and blanky looked into my eyes.
