Like every other girl about to get married to the love of their life, I was excited. But my excitement was short lived when I walked in on my fiancée and sister making out.

On the day of the wedding, I called it off in front of everyone and ran away only to be picked up by my father’s Rival and enemy, Gael Fordson.

He was cold and formidable, ruthless and wicked, plotting to have a taste of revenge against my family and there I came, naive and innocent, walking right into his web where he kept me his prisoner by forcing me to marry him to get back at my father. I was helpless and bitter and now, I just hated him just as much as he hated my family and for everything he has done to us , I made a promise to bring him down to his knees.

Except that I didn’t know just how much my life was about to change until I got chased by a creature thought to never exist.

Werewolves. More secrets unveiled themselves.

I wasn’t who I thought I was.

Now my life was just a roller coaster ride. Unpredictable and dangerous.

Beginning...
Ariel's Pov. Men are scum! There are no single ones left out. That's why as I stared at the man saying his vows to me, a man who's literally been my childhood friend and one whom I've loved for more than twenty years, I felt unsure. I felt like I'm making the biggest mistake of my life. My fist clenched when the sight I had witnessed yesterday entered my mind. My fiancee and my sister. I glanced to the side, seeing her look truly happy for me and clapping her hands when in fact, she was sleeping with my man. I thought I'd call off the wedding immediately and tell him to go keep f*****g her since he loved her so much, but that would also come to bite me back, considering I need him, this marriage to save Dad's company. If Dad finds out about this, he'd definitely call off the wedding immediately, but does it mean I should sacrifice my life for everyone else? He said he loved me, and I believed him for years, but all the things he said to my sister yesterday without knowing I was listening. They were really horrible. If I hadn't seen them with my own eyes, I'd have thought that person was someone else. "For better or worse, I promise to love, care, and protect you as my woman." He finished saying his vows and put the ring on my finger. Now it was my turn. "Miss Ariel Gold, do you accept Ryan Wyatt as your husband and protector?" I swallowed. Hard. All of a sudden the place was so quiet. Too quiet, I could hear my own breaths. The seconds ticked slowly, and I found myself unable to utter a word. My palms turned clammy as I tried to get rid of the events of last night, which kept playing in my mind on repeat. I hadn't cried, but suddenly for some reason, I wanted to right now, but I couldn't. F-uck! I shouldn't cry. I really shouldn't. Not for scumbags like him. "I do." I breathed. Finally, this one word drained everything in me. My legs felt weak. I raised my head to look at him, my soon to be husband and behold, he was glancing somewhere else. I followed his gaze to see he was looking at Avery, my sister. Fu-cking asshole! If I had a gun, I'd have blown up his head with it without thinking. The cheers and claps and noises were deafening but it was suddenly fading in my ears, my heart beat accelerated and it became difficult to breath. Fuck, f**k, f**k, I am having a panic attack. It shouldn't be now. "I now pronounce you husband and wi-" "Stop!" I yelled, and it immediately became quiet before the murmurs dominated everywhere. People were wondering what I was up to. "Miss Ariel-" "Just stop it!" I said, doing everything to catch my breath. "I'm not going to marry him." God. Finally. I did it! "Ariel, what are you saying?" Ryan grabbed my arms, and I wondered if he knew how much force he was using and that he was hurting me. "I'm not going to marry you, Ryan." "What the f**k are you up to now? Are you nuts? This could destroy us! the reporters are here." "So what? I should remain quiet about the fact that you're f-ucking my sister?!" Oops! That wasn't supposed to be loud. There were shocked gasps, and once I realized what I'd just done, I turned around to see my family. Mom and Dad's eyes were wide open, completely shocked. My sister's face paled and the presses were going crazy taking pictures. This really wasn't how I planned for it to go. I threw an apologetic look towards my parents, folded my one million dollar wedding gown, and ran out of the hall. I didn't turn around, I didn't think, I didn't even know where I was going. I just wanted to get away from the reporters running after me, from everything, and get my s**t together. I entered the road, and I didn't see a black car coming. It almost hit me, but the driver sure has fast reflexes. It stopped just when it was an inch away. I breathed in relief and without a second thought, ran to the car, pulled the door open and entered. I didn't care that it was a Bugatti Chiron car. I just wished it wouldn't matter. "Take me to Aaron hotel." "Ma'am, this is not a taxi!" The Driver seemed hostile, and there was fear on his face when he glanced at my side. I followed his gaze only to notice an additional pair of cold inhuman eyes watching me. "Sorry, sir. Do you mind? You must be going that way, right?" "We're not going that way. In fact, we are about to make a stop. Please ma'am, leave while I'm asking nicely." I ignored the driver and turned towards the man. "I'm really in a bit of a situation now, so I need your help." A few seconds passed in silence before he opened his mouth to speak. "Why?" "Huh?" "Why should I help you?" His voice... why did it sound so low and so frighteningly cold? "Because... I'm a damsel in distress?" I laughed at my own joke and then wondered if I could really be laughing now. The man's narrowed gaze surveyed me with disinterest, and then he glanced out to where the reporters were still approaching. I don't know what went through his mind, and I don't care. He looked at his driver and said coldly. "Take her there." "But sir, the meeting-" The driver gulped the rest of his words when the man threw him a glare. "Thank you. I'll surely repay your kindness." We arrived at the hotel in a few minutes, and I exited the car discreetly, looking around for reporters. I was about to make a run for the hotel entrance when I realized one weird fact. I didn't have any money on me. All I had thought about was to get a place to stay and this hotel came to mind. I couldn't book a room without money, you see. Awkwardly, I went back to the car just before it could leave. I opened the door and peeped inside. The man's icy aura made my heart jump, but I breathed, first releasing an awkward laugh. "Erhmm... D-d-do you happen to have some cash on you?" Him: (...) "I promise you I'm not a beggar. I'll return everything to you. I just need a thousand dollars." There was a long pause. And then I realized how improper this was. I sighed and bowed my head a little. "I'm sorry for asking for something like this. Thank you for your help-" A card was suddenly shoved in my face. My lips curled as I quickly took it, but that smile disappeared when I saw the card I was holding. A black card? "Two seven two seven." He uttered those numbers, and before I could say another word, he drove off. "Wait!" I called out. "I didn't even get his number so I could return everything." How could he just give a stranger a black card? This isn't a fake, is it? Well, I found out it wasn't!!!
