Alpha Tyler - POV
I paced restlessly in my office, trying to connect with Ryker using the strange gadget the witch gave us, but... nothing. Ryker wasn’t responding, and without Riley around, I could barely focus. I needed a break, so I left the office, my thoughts a mess. I set out to find Liam, hoping to get an update on security and the teleportation gate’s defensive barrier. He’d just moved out of the Packhouse and into his new place, so I figured I’d check in on him.
When I knocked on the door, it wasn’t Liam or Sia who answered—it was Ivy. “Alpha…” she said, pushing the door open just halfway. Her face had that all-too-familiar look, like she was hiding something.
I frowned. “Where’s Liam?” My voice was colder than I intended, but I didn’t care.
