Chapter 56
“Gigi?” Ryker repeats, unsure he’s heard me correctly. I nod in response, keeping my eyes trained on the approaching figures.
As they can get closer, I can make out Gigi’s silver hair and petite figure. Beside her walks a man with salt and pepper hair, it takes me a second to realize its Takeo, Kenji’s dad. The only person I do not recognize is the tall slender woman walking with them. She holds her head high, chin up, exuding confidence. Her long blonde hair sways as she moves, her hazel eyes fixed on me. I return her curious gaze, my eyes following her every step, and wonder who this goddess is and why Gigi had to go off the grid to find her.
