Chapter 54 Someone is screaming. They’re screaming so loud, I can’t hear anything else. Their screams completely consume me, deafening me to the world around me. It takes me a moment to realize that someone is me. The wind is violently whipping around us, my face engulfed in strands of my own hair, covering my mouth as if it’s trying to silence me. I’m on my knees on the ground, sobs tearing through my chest as I stare into the lifeless eyes of my best friend.
