Chapter 18: The Final Confrontation
Agent Thompson led them to a heavily fortified warehouse on the outskirts of town. "Victor's been hiding here, surrounded by his loyal followers."
Prisca's eyes narrowed. "Let's get this over with."
Dynamite nodded, his jaw clenched. "Time to put an end to this."
Alex adjusted his glasses, his eyes fixed on the warehouse. "I've hacked into the security system. We have a clear path to Victor."
Luna stood tall, her eyes blazing with determination. "I'm ready to face him."
Thompson nodded. "Alright, let's move out."
They entered the warehouse, guns drawn. Victor's followers were everywhere, but they didn't stand a chance against the determined group.
As they fought their way deeper into the warehouse, Prisca could feel her heart pounding. She was finally going to confront Victor, after all these months.
And then, they saw him. Victor LaGraine, standing in front of a massive server room.
"Welcome, Prisca," he sneered. "I've been waiting for you."
Prisca's eyes locked onto his. "It's over, Victor. Your plan has been foiled."
Victor chuckled. "We'll see about that."
With a flick of his wrist, the server room erupted in a blaze of flames.
"No!" Alex yelled, rushing forward.
But it was too late. The servers were destroyed, and Victor's plan was revealed.
"Congratulations, Prisca," Victor said, as the flames closed in around him. "You've won. But at what cost?"
And with that, he disappeared into the inferno, leaving Prisca and her friends to ponder the true cost of their victory.
