Chapter 20: The Hunt Begins
Prisca stood outside the FBI headquarters, Agent Thompson by her side. "We've got a lead on Victor's location," he said, his eyes scanning the surrounding area.
Prisca's heart raced with anticipation. This was it, the moment she had been waiting for.
"Let's move," she said, her voice firm.
They set off in a black SUV, speeding through the city streets. Prisca's mind was focused on the task ahead, her determination growing with every passing minute.
As they arrived at the location, a rundown apartment complex, Prisca could feel her heart pounding. This was it, the final showdown.
Thompson handed her a gun. "Be careful, Prisca. We don't know what we're up against."
Prisca nodded, her hand closing around the weapon. She was ready for this.
They entered the building, moving stealthily through the hallways. Prisca's senses were on high alert, her eyes scanning every inch of the surroundings.
And then, they saw him. Victor LaGraine, standing in the shadows, a sneer on his face.
"Welcome, Prisca," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for you."
Prisca's eyes locked onto his, her gun raised. "It's over, Victor. You've lost."
Victor chuckled. "We'll see about that."
And with that, he pulled out a small device, a wicked grin spreading across his face...
