Chapter 15: The Mask Slips Ryder's grin grew wider as he took in the scene before him. "Ah, I see you've discovered my little secret." Prisca's eyes narrowed. "Who are you, really?" Ryder chuckled. "My name is Victor LaGraine. And I've been playing a long game, one that's about to pay off big time." Dynamite's eyes flashed with anger. "You're not going to get away with this, Victor." Victor shrugged. "Oh, I think I will. You see, I've been manipulating things from behind the scenes for months. And now, it's time for the final act." Alex stepped forward. "We won't let you get away with it." Victor sneered. "You can't stop me. I have too much power, too much influence. And soon, I'll have everything I need to take control." Prisca's eyes locked onto Victor's. "What do you want, Victor? What's the endgame?" Victor's grin grew wider. "Oh, that's the best part. You'll find out soon enough. But for now, let's just say that it involves a certain company... and a certain fortune." Dynamite's eyes narrowed. "You're not going to get your hands on it, Victor. We'll stop you first." Victor chuckled. "We'll see about that. You see, I have a little insurance policy... one that will guarantee my success." Prisca's eyes widened in horror as Victor's grin grew even wider. "What have you done?" she whispered. Victor chuckled. "Just a little surprise I've been cooking up. You see, I've been experimenting with a new technology... one that allows me to control people's minds." Dynamite's eyes flashed with anger. "You're insane." Victor shrugged. "Maybe. But it's effective. And now, I have the upper hand." As he spoke, Luna walked into the room, her eyes fixed on Prisca with an unnerving intensity. "Luna, what's wrong?" Prisca asked, feeling a chill run down her spine. But Luna didn't respond. Instead, she kept walking towards Prisca, her eyes empty and lifeless. "Victor, what have you done to her?" Prisca demanded. Victor's grin grew even wider. "Oh, I've just given her a little... motivation. You see, she's been working for me all along." Prisca's eyes widened in shock as Luna reached out and grabbed her arm, her grip like a vice. "You're not going anywhere," Luna hissed, her voice barely recognizable. Dynamite and Alex tried to intervene, but Victor was too quick. He pulled out a small device and pressed a button, and suddenly Dynamite and Alex were frozen in place. "I think it's time for the final act," Victor said, his eyes glinting with triumph. "And you, Prisca, are the star of the show..."
