Danny

I'm hanging out up the hill in the backyard after I give Sunny the blindfold. I tell Ash it's time and I can actually see he's nervous. A girl approaches him just before he leaves to go see Sunny. She tries to talk to him he looks at her and says I'm taken have you met my brother and walks off. I chuckle. She turns to me and says I'm Hannah. I say Danny nice to meet you. She's pretty. Hannah says I thought you and Sunny were together, I say nope wrong brother. She stares mouth open and says he's with her. I say yeah it's her who holds his heart another girl standing near by says never would have guessed. She's cute but not gorgeous like you she points at the Hannah. Hannah says so what who cares what you think to the other girl. Hannah looks at me and says I always thought you two were a couple so I never approached you. I said well it's good to know you're not into taking what belongs to someone else. She says never. I say well Sunny is my bestfriend since diapers and she doesn't know but my brother's in love with her. She's had a crush on him for a couple years and she's about to get her first kiss from him. I look at her and say oh my God um I'm sorry for the word vomit and please don't mention anything to Sunny. She says I won't I met her a few weeks ago and her mom invited me. I think she's super nice. My dad transferred to the base here and I wasn't expecting to meet a new friend. As school is almost out but she instantly friended me after finding out my dad was military she was even friendlier if that's possible. Hannah: ok now we're even on the word vomit. I laugh she's funny and easy to talk to. I say well she has a soft spot for military brats. She scrunched her nose I'm no brat I laugh again you know what I mean. She's like that because she's one too. Hannah oh I didn't know I haven't met her dad yet. I go quiet and say that's because one year ago today he was killed by a drunk driver. Hannah: on her birthday? I say yeah. Hannah: that's rough, I mean we always know they might not come home but we don't really think about losing them while they're here. I sigh yeah I know. So, everyone suspects you two are together because you're really close she says. Yeah it really cramps my dating style we both laugh. Nah it's all good Sunny keeps most of the bad eggs away. Most, raising an eyebrow? Yeah, you see there are some girls who find recking someone elses relationship a fun game. Sunny can spot them a mile away. Well have you ever had a girlfriend? Yes, one I have a zero tolerance policy. For what? If you aren't nice to my bestie we can't date. If you don't like her we can't date. If we date and you hurt her we're done. She looks at me and says that's very different from most guys I know. I say well she's my closest person and she deserves nothing less than what she gives. She looks at me and says I agree. We talk some more I find out she's a little older than me and ask if it bothers her. She says no. So, I ask her on a date and she accepts. When I see Ash and Sunny coming up the hill and go sit by the fire Ash pulls her to his lap. I go over to them and pull Hannah with me Sunny gets a huge smile and says you two met! I say yes. Sunny: good I was going to introduce you anyways. She looks at me and says Danny she one of the good ones which makes Hannah blush its cute. I say so you will be happy to know I asked her out and she said yes. She jumps out of Ashs embrace and hugs me and Hannah I'm happy for you guys. She's takes her place on Ashs lap and we all talk she starts to really settle and searches for my hand I give it to her. I'm holding her hand and Hannah's on the other side and I lean to Hannah and say does me holding her hand bother you? Hannah smiles not at all. She says I can see she loves you deeply and I can see you love her deeply but I don't see romantic love so it's all good. I'm happy to hear that she may be the first girl to get it.
