Why did His Highness have to smile like that?...it’s making me have weird thoughts again…
Tatiana cleared her throat and averted her gaze. Her heart was beating fast again, so she took a deep breath to calm herself.
“R-really? That’s…good, then.” She muttered.
Well, it’s a good thing His Highness liked it. If His Highness does say he'll throw it away, I'm not sure how to react...
There was a moment of silence between them, with Tatiana looking around and Noah still studying the bracelet. But after a few seconds, Noah broke the silence and asked,
“Tatiana… I don’t mean to sound rude, but what...is this?”
Tatiana looked at him, bemused. But she then chuckled when she understood what he meant.
Of course, it was Noah’s first time seeing such an object, so he naturally doesn’t know what it was.
Tatiana grabbed the bracelet from him.
“Hold up your hand, your highness,” she instructed. Noah did as she said. “It’s a bracelet, your highness. Ah, you can tighten it like this and loosen it by pulling this.” Tatiana tied the bracelet on his wrist and demonstrated how to adjust it.
After she was done, she looked at Noah and smiled.
“It’s done.” She said to him.
Noah examined the bracelet on his wrist. It was the first time he saw such a bracelet made with only a string. He thought it looked quite plain, but he also thought it looked good when worn.
I didn’t know a simple string would look this…classy. He thought.
“I never saw such a bracelet. Where did you buy it?” Noah asked, casually.
“I had it made at a workshop in the capital,” Tatiana replied.
Noah raised an eyebrow and nodded.
“Then...does that mean I’m the only one who has this kind of bracelet?”
Tatiana nodded.
“Hmm…yes, I guess you can say that, your highness.”
Noah smirked to himself.
So, this is a special bracelet made only for me. How interesting…
“I see…” he uttered. His face wasn't showing any emotion, but deep inside Noah felt surprisingly happy thinking Tatiana made a bracelet just for him.
Tatiana walked back to the horses. But when she remembered something, she looked back at Noah.
“Uh, but Mr. Bryson may make a few more if he saw your highness wearing it. I think he’ll take the opportunity to start a trend.” She said and shrugged.
Anything His Highness wears becomes a fashion statement in the empire. Even the tiniest detail, such as a pin worn by Noah, would be noticed by the fashion industry. As a result, if people saw His Highness wearing that bracelet, they would very certainly try to copy and sell it.
Also, Mr. Bryson already knows how to make one, and he already has Tatiana's designs, so making a batch and selling them would be easy. He could also say he was the one who made His Highness’ bracelet, giving him more customers.
It’s the perfect opportunity to make his business known. I’m pretty sure Mr. Bryson won’t miss this chance. Well, it's not like I care anyways. Tatiana thought to herself.
Wait, now that I think about it, maybe I should make a deal with Mr. Bryson with this. I could probably make a lot of money...
Tatiana smirked to herself, already planning how she could profit from this. It was a good thing she thought of giving His Highness a string bracelet.
Tatiana made a mental note to talk to Mia about it later, then returned her gaze to Noah.
“Your highness, we should probably go. The sun will set soon.” She said, grinning.
Noah turned to look at her and nodded.
"I'll use Jane this time, your highness," Tatiana added.
Noah considered her safety first, but in the end, he agreed.
"Alright, but be careful." He said, making Tatiana blush a bit.
Tatiana mounted Jane while Noah mounted Alexander. They then galloped together back to the Horse Ranch.
On their way back, Noah had only one thing in mind:
I have to make sure this is the only string bracelet to ever exist in this world.
