CHAPTER 84
It didn't take long for Tatiana and Noah to return back to the Horse Ranch.
“Your highness, my lady, welcome back.” The owner greeted as he approached them. The two maids, Joy and Marie, also walked closer to assist them with their things.
Noah descended the horse before helping Tatiana go down with hers.
“Thanks,” Tatiana muttered to Noah. The latter gave her a nod then turned to the owner.
Noah passed the horses’ reins back to the owner. He also gave him instructions to send Alexander to the palace and Jane to the Cromello’s Residence. After that, he and Tatiana went back to the VIP suite to change their clothes.
“Thank you for coming, your highness and my lady. We hope to see you soon. Please have a safe trip back.” The owner said as Tatiana and Noah were about to leave.
Tatiana smiled at him.
“You’ve all been very kind to us. Thank you as well. We had a great time.” She said.
The owner, as well as the two maids, were taken aback by Tatiana’s sudden kindness. They didn’t expect her to thank them as well, so they weren’t able to react immediately.
Tatiana smiled at them again before walking away and entering the carriage.
Meanwhile, Noah smiled secretly and followed her to the carriage.
He still can't get used to seeing Tatiana being kind to other people, but he thinks it's refreshing to see.
“Are we going home now, your highness?” Tatiana asked once Noah got into the carriage.
“Hmm...do you want to have dinner with me, Tatiana?” Noah asked back.
Noah had already planned to have dinner with Tatiana after the horseback riding. He had also made a reservation at the finest restaurant in the capital. However, following their earlier conversation, he felt it would be inappropriate to bring Tatiana there. As such, he decided to ask Tatiana first.
Ah, so now we’re going to eat and talk. Tatiana thought to herself and shrugged.
Tatiana, on the other hand, didn't really think much about it.
She didn't expect Noah would also ask her to have dinner together, but she figured it was also understandable. After all, this day was their 'date'.
"Alright, your highness," Tatiana replied.
She stayed silent after that.
Tatiana looked outside the window and thought of what happened earlier.
She can’t deny it was one of the most memorable experiences she had after a long time. She had always wanted to try horseback riding, but she didn’t expect it would be that fulfilling and fun to do. It was as though she felt the same way as she did when she was training martial arts in her previous life—at peace and free.
I still don’t know what His Highness was thinking that he brought me to a Horse Ranch on our date. But more importantly, I guess I’ll never find out why he asked me out on a date in the first place.
Tatiana sighed.
When she thought of the things she asked Noah earlier, Tatiana just wanted to slam her head to a wall. It was stupid of her to ask His Highness if he has feelings for her.
Even if she thought Noah’s actions were unusual, she still shouldn’t have asked that.
Tatiana knows it was almost impossible for Noah to have feelings for her. He was meant to fall in love with Lady Beatrice. They were destined together, while Tatiana was nothing but a villainess who tried to get in between them.
That was meant to happen. And even if the novel changes its course after Tatiana’s reincarnation, Lady Beatrice should still be the one who’ll end up with Noah.
So, if anything, His Highness must have only felt curious about her. Noah must have only felt interested in her changes. He must have acted that way because he wanted to know why Tatiana changed.
That should just be it...so why do I have to ask him that?
Tatiana mentally punished herself.
I wonder what His Highness was thinking? What if His Highness thought I was still obsessed with him? What if His Highness thought I changed because I wanted him to like me?
Tatiana glanced at Noah.
I have to make it clear…right?
.
Tatiana's thoughts were cut off when the carriage came to a halt.
"We're here," Noah announced. He stepped out of the carriage first and waited for Tatiana.
Tatiana gasped when she saw the building in front of them.
I thought we're going to a restaurant? She can't help but think.
The building in front of them was indeed a five-star restaurant. It did, however, live up to its reputation as the capital's finest restaurant, with an exquisite exterior that made it appear more like a small palace than a restaurant.
"A-are we really going to eat here, your highness?" Tatiana expressed her thoughts, unintentionally.
Noah glanced at her. He grinned when he saw Tatiana's astonished expression.
She's acting like this was her first time here...how cute. He thought.
"Yes. Why? Do you want to eat somewhere else?" He asked back.
Tatiana unknowingly shook her head while her eyes were still on the building in front of them.
The two of them walked together and entered the restaurant.
Inside, a butler greeted them and behind him were all of the staff lined up with their heads bowed down.
Tatiana mentally gasped again after seeing so many people greet them.
Is this how they usually greet their customers? She can't help but wonder.
"Your Highness, my lady, welcome to Le Alvani. My name is Philip, and I will be your butler for tonight." The man greeted. "Please, allow me to walk you to your table, your highness, and my lady," he added.
Tatiana gave him a small nod and smiled. Noah then placed his hand on her back and led her as they follow Philip.
Meanwhile, Tatiana was still looking around the restaurant.
The first thing you'll see once you enter, was the lobby that has a big fountain at the center. Above it, there's a chandelier that was large enough to lighten the whole room. The floors were marbled and shiny that you could see your reflection on them. The walls were painted white with golden linings, which added to the elegance of the whole building.
As they walk more inside, Tatiana could see beautiful paintings hang up on the wall. Then, after a few more walks, they entered the main restaurant. Tables and chairs were all neatly arranged. However, Tatiana instantly noticed something.
Why is no one around? I thought this restaurant was famous? Shouldn't this room be bustling with nobles eating their fancy dinner? She wondered.
Wait...could it be that His Highness...
Tatiana pulled Noah's sleeve to grab his attention.
"Your Highness, did you perhaps...reserved the whole restaurant?" she asked, carefully.
Noah looked down at her and gave her a nod.
"Yes, why?" He said nonchalantly as if there was just nothing wrong with what he did.
Tatiana only looked at him in disbelief but didn't utter anything more.
Why am I even surprised? I must have forgotten that this man I'm with right now is the Crown Prince of the empire and also the richest man in this world. She thought sarcastically.
Tatiana and Noah continued to follow Philip until they reached the second floor. Philip led them to a table near the window.
"As per your request, your highness, we have prepared the table with the most beautiful view. Please enjoy your night, your highness and my lady." Philip said, bowed, and left with the other staff.
Just like what Philip had said, this table really had the most beautiful view. From where they were, they could see the beautiful night view of the central capital.
It's stunning...Tatiana thought as she looked at the view outside the window with awe.
Meanwhile, Noah was observing her. He was amused to see Tatiana being amazed at everything he saw here. It was as if this was her first time in this restaurant when he clearly knew it wasn't.
Of course, as the lady of House Cromello, eating a fancy dinner in Le Alvani was easy. They could very much afford to eat three meals a day here. Also, Noah could remember the Imperial Family and Cromello Family had once had dinner together in this restaurant.
As such, Noah was sure this was not Tatiana's first time here.
"Tatiana," He called, making Tatiana look at him. Noah pulled a chair and gestured for Tatiana to sit there. "Have a seat."
"Ah yes, thank you, your highness," Tatiana said before taking a seat. Noah then took a seat right across from her.
"It's very beautiful here, your highness. Thank you for taking me here," Tatiana said as she looked at the view outside the window again.
"It seems that you like seeing sceneries like this," Noah commented, making Tatiana glance back at him.
"I do, they make me feel at peace. Don't you also think so, your highness?" Tatiana replied and smiled.
Noah nodded his head.
"You're right. They do make you feel at peace." He said and also glanced at the scenery outside.
He glanced back to Tatiana, who was already looking at the view again with a smile on her face.
You showed me yet another side of you, Tatiana. Noah smiled.
