15 Andrea The next morning, I woke up in Talrun’s bed on my day off. I hadn’t felt so content in a long time. After making myself a cup of sunleaf tea, I walked downstairs to find him working with the plants. Talrun wrapped an arm around me, a familiar feeling that now suffused me with joy. “If we have to lay low, maybe we can spend the day in the apartment.” As much as I didn’t want to do that, I had to admit we didn’t have a choice. I couldn’t ignore all the warnings I was receiving and go gallivanting out on the town as if I was completely safe. The truth was, neither of us was safe, and we had to take precautions.
