“Doc?” Kybil was the first to notice the fear on Doc’s face. “What is it?” His gaze traveled to the space that Doc was transfixed on. “Oh, no,” Maaleah gasped. Flying straight at them were several birds, just like the one back at the beach. “There’s a large pile of rocks over there about hundred feet from here.” Rakmor yelled as he grabbed a knapsack off the ground, “Run!” Kybil grabbed the other knapsack off the ground and slung it over his shoulder. Everyone ran as fast as they could toward the safety of the rocks. Abruptly, Kess stopped in her tracks. “Wait!” she cried. “No, I feel a danger there. Quickly, everyone there are some scrub bushes over there. Get under them, don’t move, and don’t look at the birds.” Kess ran full speed toward the meager shrubs. “Oh, why am I saying this
