"Mum I'm sorry" I begged on my knees " How dare you call me your mum Look here ...I know my children and you're definitely not one of them So don't you ever call me your mum" She roared angrily Tears were dropping freely from my eyes I begged with all my strength for her to spare me "My sweet daughter gave you some clothes to wash and you refused to wash them Who do you think you are ?!!" She landed a slap on my cheeks gosh that hurts My tears were now uncontrollable I looked up at my step sister Who was grinning wickedly behind her mother "I didn't refuse I only told her to let me wash the dishes first Then I. ...." Another slap landed on my face i held my cheeks in pain "Isn't it the same thing as refusing You daughter of a b***h !!!!" My evil stepmother roared again I can handle everything in this world But I hate it when someone insults my dead mother I was about to talk back in annoyance When another slap landed on my face I turned to see where the slap came from "Do you want to talk back at my mum You really have no manners Is that how your mother taught you" Lucia taunted "Lucia.." She landed me another slap I looked at her with anger and hatred I'm older than Lucia by three years And she is raising her hands to slap me Because her mum has given her the permission to hit me anyhow "Now Lucy Go to your room and bring all your dirty clothes for this trash" Her mother said and she happily ran towards her room "I have some dirty clothes too" I heard another voice behind It was Gideon Lucy's big brother "Then bring everything for her to wash" His mother said and he also marched towards his room "By the time they get back It's better you start washing the clothes And you better be fast So you would prepare dinner" She ordered and went to the living room I continued crying Why was my life like this ? I am being treated like a maid In a house where I used to be a princess I expected this when my dad married another wife after my mum's death But I didn't know it would be this much I am even being treated worser than a maid "You better make sure they are clean Or you would be getting lots of slaps" Lucia threw her clothes at me "Better handle my clothes with care Or you won't find it funny" Gideon also threw his clothes at me He and his junior sister smilled at each other "Be fast I'm getting hungry" Lucia added as they made their way to the sitting room. I looked at them as they went to the living room My life was horrible I hate my life It's filled with sorrow,tears, suffering and pain What kind of life was I living ?? A very painful one
