Tala’s pov

“Tala come on.” Sarah has been on me trying to get me to follow her. I only c**k my head to the side and scoot closer to Axel.

“Rouges!” Sam yelled as he ran in the door making Axel jump up. I followed close to Axel as he shifted in mid air landing perfectly. Taking off towards where the rogues were sighted. It was quite easy for me to keep up with him, it wasn’t long before Axel and I showed up where Stevens and a few warriors were standing. Off on the other side of the clearing we saw six rogues walking towards us in a huff. I looked at Axel as he growled loudly making sure he was heard right as he shifted into his human form.

“GET OFF THIS LAND!” he yelled.

I looked back at the rogues to see they weren't backing down. The only thing I had in my mind was to protect Axel because he was the only one in this place that I felt I needed to protect. I let out a growl of my own and in a blink I was running at the rogues.

“TALA NO! BACK OFF!” I heard Axel as he was trying to get me to stop, but I wasn’t having it. These asses were not going to hurt him.

I jumped and landed on one of the rogues gripping my teeth on his neck snapping it with ease. I snapped at another wolf, it was an all out snapping contest between me and the other five. I slid and spun on my back biting into one, all while clawing at another. Injuring the two making them whimper in pain, I attacked the next one that got close to me. The last one got past me running towards Axel, I jumped up onto my feet and took off after him. I was gaining on him very fast, I got to his side and snapped my jaws on his neck and shook ferociously making the wolf’s head fly off from his shoulders. I now stood in the field covered in blood,it looked like I had slaughtered a whole herd of cattle. When I opened my snout a little due to me panting, the blood of the last wolf I killed oozed out and onto the ground. Looking up at Axel's shocked face made me whimper as though I had gotten into trouble. I crept over to him, the closer I got the lower my body went to the ground. I was trying to ask him not to be mad at me. By this time the rest of the warriors, along with the higher ups in the pack had arrived and looked at the scene in pure amazement.

“What is she doing?” Sarah asked as she got closer to Axel’s side watching my display of dragging my stomach on the ground which was inching closer to Axel.

Stevens cleared his throat before saying, “I think she is trying to apologize, I’ve seen some of the pups in the pack act that way after being scolded by their parents. You need to tell her that it is ok and she isn’t going to be punished.”

I looked over at Stevens, but quickly turned my gaze back to Axel. He walked the remaining few feet towards me and knelt on the ground. He started to pet my head and repeated the words it’s okay.

I think I might have surprised him a bit because for some reason I ended up reaching up and licking his cheek. This action caused him to laugh wholeheartedly which then made the others start laughing as well.

“You are something little pup. Take on six rogues all by yourself.” He said to me, patting my head.

“I can’t believe she was able to do that. She is really something.” Sarah said as she turned to follow the rest back to the pack house leaving Axel and I in the field. After an hour of sitting here with him he stood up and started walking. He looked back at me and patted his leg signaling for me to follow. I got up quickly and was at his side within a millisecond.

We walked back to the pack house and Axel opened the door for me. I followed him up the steps and he went to the room next to his and opened it telling me this is where I am to sleep, he walked into his room shutting the door behind him. I just stood there looking at the open door that was supposed to be mine and back at Axel’s room. Not sure what to make of it I just laid on the floor outside his room.

Axel’s pov

I stood there staring at Tala as she ripped the last rogue’s head clear off his shoulders. Like holy s**t what happened one minute she was right next to me and the next she is shredding the hell out of them. I couldn’t contain my shocked expression as she started heading to me. When she looked up at me she started to whimper and practically crawled on her stomach. I didn’t understand why she was doing that. I barely heard Sarah and Stevens talking, I did happen to hear Stevens saying something along the lines of Tala acting like a pup that would have been in trouble with their parents. So I walked the rest of the way over to her and tried to comfort her letting her know that she wasn’t in trouble. As I sat here with her as the rest went back to the pack house I continued to pet her head and repeat that she is okay and not in trouble. This went on for a little while until I stood up and started walking back to the pack house. I got a few feet away and looked back at Tala as I noticed she wasn’t following me. I pat on my leg signaling for her to come on. I watched as she jumped up and hurried to my side, making me smile. We walked back to the pack house. Once we got there I opened the door for her and walked up the steps. I went to the room next to mine and opened it and told her that this room is hers to use, leaving her door open I headed right to mine and walked in shutting the door behind me. As soon as I walked in I started taking off my clothes and heading to the bathroom for a quick shower.

As I was washing off I remembered the way Tala looked and all the blood on her fur. I hurried and mind linked Sarah asking her to give Tala a quick wash to get the blood off so she wouldn’t get her bed clothing all dirty with the rogue's blood. After I got out of the shower and got clothes Sarah linked me telling me she didn't think bathing Tala would be possible. When I asked her why all she responded was to open my door and I’ll know why. I walked to my door and flung it open to see Tala fast asleep right in front of my door. I laughed so hard that she woke up and looked up at me.

“Go let Sarah wash off the blood in your fur and you can just come in and sleep with me.”

I watched as she darted up off the floor and went straight for Sarah, wagging her tail the whole way.

I can hear Sarah laughing then yelling for Tala to stop and some growling coming from Tala’s room. Must be Tala giving her a hard time which was to be expected for some reason the girl wont do anything without me telling her, or being near.

Tala’s pov

It's now been almost a year since they have found me and in this time span I have grown quite close with a few of the pack members. Especially with Axel, He treats me like family. I haven't told him but I think I am falling in love with him and guess what today he is going to teach me how to shift back into human form. I am so excited to see what I will look like, it has been some time now since I last saw what I looked like and I can’t believe that I am going to hopefully get to move around on just two legs. I jumped up on my little wolf bed that Axel had built that is near his bed. I pawed at the bedding a little bit while walking in a circle to get it comfortable before laying down for the night.

Axel woke me up around six am to head down to the basement to try and see if I can’t shift back, he must know that I don’t want to shift in front of everyone because he chose to go into the basement for privacy.

“Ok Tala, it's time. I need you to picture yourself in human form and will, your wolf, into hiding.” Axel stated.

I stood in the same spot trying really hard to will myself into human form. Two hours have passed and still nothing, it’s like I don’t have a human form. Axel brought me some food and water and continued to sit down here with me. I felt like I was disappointing him because we are now going on six hours of me trying to shift. I started to whimper and whine.

“It’s ok Tala this can’t be rushed you haven’t shifted in a very long time. So it's inevitable that you will have to take the time to shift.”

Axel said just as Sarah had hollered down the steps for him. He stood up and walked up the steps to see what she wanted when all of a sudden pain erupted from my whole body. Bones cracking and shifting, making Axel shoot his head in my direction. He hollered something to Sarah and ran back over to me. The pain was so unbearable but Axel kept telling me that it would be okay and this is normal to keep pushing through to finish shifting.

After about twenty minutes of the agonizing pain there I am laying on the cold floor in human form. My hair is really long, it goes down to my knees, it’s also an unusual color. It’s jet black with red, whit, and purple streaks all through it. Axel helps me stand up when Sarah comes in with some clothing. After helping me get dressed they help me learn to walk and thankfully I have always been a fast learner. I walked over to Sarah and realized that I am much taller than her, but only a few inches shorter than Axel.

“She is tall for a she-wolf.” Sarah said while looking at me standing behind Axel. I watched as Axel just shook his shoulders and then turned to me.

“Do you want to go outside and walk around some more?”

I immediately started to shake my head no and tried to signal to him that I didn’t want anyone to know what I looked like. The last thing I needed was Alpha Slade finding out what I looked like in human form. He just nodded his head and then began talking about focusing on teaching me how to talk and fight in human form. I was excited about that because it means that even in human form I would not be useless to Axel and this pack.
