Tala’s pov It was so dark out that even the moon didn't want to light a path. All of us children were huddled together crying for out mothers and fathers all the while listening to the screams crying for help ring throughout the blackened sky, problem was no one was coming to help and deep down we knew that no one was coming out hope died out quickly as we watched the adults falling one by one. With nowhere to go all we could do was cry and mourn the ones falling on this dark night. Once the last adult member of our pack had his head taken off and fell dead on the cold ground someone walked over to us. A man that looked really rough walked over to us and grabbed me by my shirt hauling me out of the group of children. I will always remember that day thinking that maybe we had a chance even if our pack was gone at least us kids could continue to live and have a chance at moving on. I will also always remember their cries of pain when the man ordered the others with him to kill off all the other children. I was only saved to be their slave they only needed me because of my alpha blood. It took three days to get back to their pack lands and all the while I am sitting in the backseat with a huge man on each side of me to make sure that I couldn’t escape. Oh by the way my name is Tala, I just turned nine years old last night which sucked because as you can guess my pack was massacred not too long after I blew out my candles, and I am now on my way to my new home which will be horrible from what I can tell. We arrived at the pack house and I was dragged inside just to be thrown in the living room. People started to look at what was causing the commotion. Their alpha who I learned is named Alpha Slade walked up to me and in his Alpha voice commanded me to shift. With me being only nine and with no training behind me I had to listen and force myself to shift. I hurt so bad, I heard gasps and whispers about how the Alpha is being a little too hard making a child shift but they were quieted when the Alpha commanded everyone to shut up, you see normally we aren’t supposed to shift until the age of sixteen, but we are not considered adults until the age of twenty and him forcing me to shift this soon was pure agony. All anyone could hear was my screams of pain ringing out as my bones were shifting. Once I had finally fully shifted into a small little wolf did the pain stop. I whimpered and backed away from the Alpha shaking in fear. My actions did nothing to stop him though he kicked me really hard and the beta walked in with a small cage. I started shaking my head hoping that the cage wasn't for me but unfortunately it was. I was thrown into the cage and the Alpha carried me to the basement. It has been nine years now since that incident and in those nine years I was treated horribly. Constantly being mistreated, I was only allowed to eat enough so I wouldn’t die of starvation, beaten and forced into brutal training. The only reasons why they trained me was for the pit fights that I had to compete in just for the Alpha’s entertainment. On my frist night in the pit I noticed there were a few Alpha’s including Alpha Slade sitting up in the stands with their pack members watching down at me getting beaten to a pulp. After that they decided to give me some training on fighting and now I am undefeated for five years now. Yea I know what you are thinking why am I still here if I am a champ in the pits but I must let you know that I also have to wear a certain collar that I can not remove and Alpha Slade is the only one who can work the remote. If I do something out of line he can do it to hurt me, and when it happens it injects silver into me making me feel as though I am burning from the inside out. Once I started to get immune to the silver they added some changes to it making it to where I get electrocuted. So all I could do was behave and do as I am told. I am always locked up in a cage. I haven't been allowed to turn into my human form for so long that I don't even know what I even look like anymore. The only thing that keeps me sane and not going into a rage is my wolf constantly talking to me and keeping me positive. I am unable to speak to anyone but her, the Alpha didn’t make me join his pack so I am technically considered a rogue. I lay in my cage resting my head on my paws when the alpha came in. He walks over to me and kicks my cage, knocking it over with me inside of it. “You will have another fight tonight and you best win. You need to make me some more money you filthy bitch.” I only whined, this cage is so small for my wolf form I have no room to even try and move away from him. I am stuck just whining while he repeatedly kicks the cage knocking me all over the room. Once he was satisfied he walked back out and told a couple of his men to come in and take me to the pit. It takes two people to lift up the cage with me still inside and carry me to the vehicle, throwing me into the trunk.But for some reason I always look towards the pit because I know once we get there they will let me out and this is the only time I will be able to leave the cage that has been my confinement almost my whole life.
