Life has been going smoothly with my husband and I. I have opened another branch as he had suggested. It wasn"t an easy choice to make. Paige was so sad. She didn"t want that decision. Zach had to convince
her she"ll also do same when the time comes. At first she got angry. She didn"t want to talk to any of us. Alex had to talk to her. She seemed OK with it after he had talked to her.
Opening the new branch was hectic. But luckily for me, I have a big business man beside me. He went
through all the trouble. He"s been patient with me. Being an architect isn"t something that is easy. My
dad was one. And Paige and I had to learn every single day to become one when we grow older. We had our first contract when our dad was still alive. And it was an excited moment.
"I"m glad you listened to me," Alex said almost making me jump from my seat.
"You scared me!!!"
"Did I? I love it when I get you by surprise," he said with that voice, I love so much.
"No, don"t use that voice. You are not playing fair. I can"t even get angry with you. That"s bad!!!"
We both laugh our hearts out.
"Yes you are right. I"m glad I did. I can"t believe I had three contracts with your men."
"They are not my men. We just closed a deal and they decided to work with you since they"ve seen your work."
"It was your doing, right?"
"No, if I had known they were going to see you that day, I would"ve sent you somewhere far away from
reach. Do you think I like the idea of they being around you?"
"Always jealous. I can"t imagine this."
He shows his teeth as I play with his hair.
"I sent Paige the details, she"ll be doing one. And I have to go over for the weekend. Hope you don"t
mind."
"And you didn"t feel like informing me first?"
"What am I doing now? I"m telling you now. Please don"t say no."
I know he"ll say no.
"Sure, as long as you behave like a good girl tonight."
"Really? Are you sure? Are you for real?"
He frowns then says, "Is that not what you want? Oh you want me to say no and then we"ll quarrel for a while then you"ll get angry and then...I"ll give up first and say OK."
He says rolling his eyes. He"s so handsome when he does that.
"Nope, not what you are thinking. Sometimes you are impossible. I"m just surprised you didn"t pick up a
fight."
"I gave a condition. Didn"t I? I said as long as you behave like a good girl. So..."
I kiss his lips before he can say more.
