Gabby’s pov.

More injured warriors have come in, I’m helping the medical team by getting them supplies and cleaning up after them. We’ve been down here for about two hours when the first loss happens, a woman screams and drops to the floor thrashing and screaming. One of the doctors rushes to her and gives her a sedative, a couple of people pick her up putting her on a bed. Then two more start screaming Luna Molly and some other women are helping the medical team when we hear the worst noise ever, I realise it’s coming from the Luna then the pain hits me and everyone else. Alpha Luke is gone. It takes quite a few of us to get a seductive into the Luna, wow she’s strong a couple of people even get hit from her thrashing about. A few more injured warriors appear. I’m so confused about how they are just appearing out of nowhere, one of the nurses sees the confusion on my face.

Unknown: “We have witch’s in our pack they put a spell on the warriors so that if they are seriously injured they are transported here.”

Ok wow that’s blown my mind I didn’t even know witches existed. I’m not ready to accept Jake as my mate, especially completing the mating process. But as we’re not bonded I’ve got no idea if he’s ok. I’m confused about how I feel, Part of me wants him but the other part doesn’t, I don’t know what part is what my heart or my head. But I think she might be right.

Im brought out of my own head by someone shouting.

Unknown: “It’s over we can go outside.”

I help get the injured warrior’s to the pack hospital. On my way out of the hospital I see Jake helping Joey towards the hospital. They both have cuts, Joey is worse than Jake.

“Thank the moongoddess you’re both ok, well mostly!!”

Jake: “Kade will heal me in no time, Joey needs some stitches as some of his injuries are quite deep.”

We get Joey into the hospital and sit him down in the waiting room, with the other wounded warriors.

“Mum Joey is ok, he’s in the hospital as he needs some stitches, it’s nothing serious.”

Mum: “Thanks for letting me know I’m on my way. The girls are at the pack house with th other children.”

“Ok, I’ll probably see you later as I’m helping the medical staff.”

“Joey mum is on her way. I need to go help the others.”

Joey: “Oh hell I wasn’t going to tell her.”

Jake: “She would have found out later and it would probably be worse for you!! I’ll see you later Gabby I need to help with the cleanup.”

Jake was trying not to laugh at Joey’s predicament with his mate. I nodded and went to help where I could.

We won but it was a hollow victory due to the loss of the Alpha and the other warriors. There was a lot of injured people most of them just needed their wounds cleaned their wolves will heal them quickly. A few people needed stitches. The ones that came to the bunker need to stay in the hospital for at least a night to be monitored.

Everyone that is able to is standing around the funeral pyres. As the fallen are brought out it’s heartbreaking watching their families. After Alpha Jace says his speech and Luna Rai lights the torches (well that freaked me out a bit) everyone stands quietly until the fires go out.

Once we get home mum and I make dinner. After we eat the we go to bed, mum and Joey go back to the pack house.

Jake’s pov.

Gabby is spending the day at the hospital her friend is going through with the termination and she wants to be there for her. Now that everything has settled down with the pack. I can start to try and get my head around Gabby being pregnant and how it happened. She’s right it’s not the babies fault and it definitely isn’t her fault either but……

Kade: “I’m going to stop you right there, I heard the heartbeat when we met her in the Alpha’s office, as far as I’m concerned it’s my pup. If she decides not to go ahead with it that’s fine.”

“So you knew before Gabby did!! Was this before or after telling me to except her as my mate?”

“Before.”

Well f**k me. This is one of those times when I wish my parents were still alive because I really need to talk to someone about this. An idea hits I jump up and leave my house and walk a couple of houses down from mine and knock on the front door.

Unknown: “Hello Jake are you okay?”

“Hello Seth, not really is Sally in? Can I come in for chat? I need a bit of advice.”

Seth: “Of course you can, Sally is in the kitchen baking. Would you like a coffee or something else to drink?”

“Thank you I’ll have some water please, coffee wouldn’t be a good idea at the moment.”

Seth and I sat down at the breakfast bar.

“Hello Sally how are you?”

“I’m good thank you, Jake are you okay because you look like crap.”

“Uh no but thanks for asking. That’s why I’m here. I need some advice but what I’m about to tell you has to stay between us.”

They both nod. I tell them everything. It takes a while to get it all out they are shocked, angry and upset for Gabby and I.

Sally: “Oh sweetheart, deep down you know what you want to do but your head is over thinking it. Your also trying not to get to close to Gabby incase she can’t handle being mates and rejects you.”

Hah I hadn’t thought about that, I sat there deep in thought for a while.

“Thank you both for listening to me and your help. I know what I want to do.xXx
