CHAPTER 14 - THE PRICE OF BETRAYAL

1560 Words

Amara's POV The moment the words left my mouth, I realized Caspian's wolf heard the truth as well His muscles tensed as if he'd received a physical blow, and he stood motionless for a few seconds then his gaze darkened as the alpha that stood across the room from me morphed into something far deadlier his knuckles whited as he clenched his fists, and the muscles in his jaw tightened. Not because of me, but because of the child we had lost - his son, and his heir. I watched, fascinated, as the anger rolled across his features. "Your woman, and the two that aided her, caused the miscarriage," I said softly, "and I would like to know what punishment you have decided upon." He turned sharply toward me. "Do not call her mine." I raised an eyebrow. "Then decide what she is to you."
