He said told her to make preparations ahead and whatever she will need in preparation he will provide it, the news still came to her as a shock and she could not wait to get home , call Scarlett and vent , after the conversation it was a silent ride back home.

Even though they had broken up, she was angry as to how Noah dated her for years without getting married to her but now wants to get married to a woman he just met ? Maya angrily said to Scarlett via video call .In all this tension ,she calmed Maya and told her to remember that this is the time Levi finds out she’s Noah’s ex and that should be her main concern . Even though she’s no longer into Noah ,it hurts to have wasted years with someone who later dumped her because of no cogent reason ,that was when she decided to make him pay for wasting her time , while thinking about this with a glass of wine in the living room . Levi came downstairs to fill he’s jar with water and found her lost in thought ; he asked what bothers her but Maya was lost in thought and he went closer to her, tapped he’s fingers right at her just then did Maya regain consciousness . Levi said.

“What bothers you ? You seemed to be lost in thought.

“I noticed you have been in this mood since noon ,when I told you about my nephew’s engagement ” is anything the problem.

Maya responded I am fine and Levi asked if she is scared of meeting the family for the first time ,she gave a sheepish look while nodding in agreement ,this made Levi assure her that, he will back her up and that they are in this together while holding her hands.

“Does he really mean those words or I’m just overthinking ” Maya said deep down.

In this process he already leaned close to her , while they were staring at each intentionally as their lips drew closer and closer ,this led to a peck kiss , it stopped quicker than they could realize because Maya snapped back and said “ no this should not happen” and immediately ran upstairs to her room,Levi sat there wondering what just happened and why he seemed to like it.

In the morning,Levi was set to go to work early,he got downstairs for breakfast and he did not find Maya there,then he asked maid if she had come down to eat this morning,Martha responded that she asked to bring her breakfast to the room,that she is feeling a little weak today. “ She is avoiding me” Levi whispered.Before he left home,he had sent Maya’s picture and full name with the caption “I want everything there is to no about her,with this I mean to the tiniest details”.

Levi got back home with flowers,knocked on Maya’s door while she opened he stretched the bouquet of flowers,with an “I got you this can I come in; she wide opened the door so he can enter.He went further to apologize for going out of line the previous night and that it was not he’s intention.He promised it was never going to repeat itself again,and he does not want her to avoid him because he is not used to that part of her even though he does not know her so much,and that she should accept the flowers as a peace offering from her “dear husband” (mimicking her tone) ,they both laughed.He offered to take her shopping,just to further apologize and to make sure she totally forgives him.He turned to leave and lastly said “please come down for dinner”,it was boring without you on the table this morning.

At dinner Levi said Tuesday was a perfect day,for them to go on shopping.

The shopping went well,Maya had bought a few fine dresses that would suit the engagement theme because she was determined to show up there hotter than Noah has ever seen her.She also booked a full self care session,and lastly she booked both a makeup and hairstylist for home service,after all she was the supposed wife of a billionaire.

It was Thursday,the day for the engagement party it was scheduled for 7pm,and Maya had taken her time to get prepared and also asked to let Scarlett come along,by this means Scarlett came over to the house at noon.They had enough time to pick a dress,matching heels and purse that would make Maya look stunning for the night.while all this was on-going,Maya was still bothered of how she will face Levi after tonight but whatever it takes she says she will be satisfied seeing Noah’s distress.

As the day closes,7pm drew closer and closer and tension got worse.Hair stylist and Makeup artist did their think and trust Scarlett to let her know how good she looked,they both got ready when Martha came knocking saying the Mr Levi is set for the event.

While Maya came from the stairs in her pretty black flowing dress,she looked so breathtaking even Martha could not hesitate to compliment her,while Levi stirred at her lost,for some reason Maya got shy too,just then the Scarlett ‘clears throat’.Let’s go “emmm Maya and I will ride one SUV while Scarlett will ride in the other”.We moving with bodyguards today,on the way to the venue Levi was stealing glances at her and unlike Maya she was shy and tensed at the same time.

While they got to the venue , Levi held Maya’s hand , while they walk inside ,then Maya had said she he should go ahead,she wanted Scalett to help her adjust her dress,he went inside and she came in almost immediately,it was a very beautiful set up for the venue,Noah was exchanging pleasantries with he’s uncle Levi ,then Levi went further to acknowledge some other people.

Maya and Scarlett were still looking around , about to grab a glass of champagne from the server when Noah sighted Maya, he moved close and said

Wait? What?

Maya?

He’s facial expression looked scared,

What are you doing here?
