I woke the next morning to Eivora knocking on the door. It had taken me a while to realize what that noise was and when it had finally hit me I called out for her to come in. She opened the door and frowned.
“Why is the fire out? You’ll get sick.” She said.
I looked over to where the fire should be burning and then I shrugged and rolled back over. I sleep in the cold all the time. My body is used to it.
I don’t think I have ever slept this good in my life. The pallet that had been made up for me was soft and comfortable and I had buried myself into the furs and fallen fast asleep. Loch and Kara hadn’t even bothered to wake me to go outside, they slept just as comfortably as me all night. Now that Eivora had come in to wake us they sprang up and made their way outside.
