Wepwawet

Osiris POV- This tall, impressive figure of a man was saying he is a “wolf god” and my father was just sitting there in his chair, silent. “A wolf god. There is no such thing. You’re not the Moon Goddess or Moon God,” I protested. “Aww, to be young and stupid again. Selene your precious Moon Goddess, is nothing more than a mere child to me. I am centuries older. My name is Wepwawet. I am the brother of Anubis. I come from Lycopolis, City of Wolves, in Upper Egypt. I come with a warning: Keep Alsie Neferet safe at all costs. If anything happens to her before her 25th birthday, ruin shall come to the house of Sandolf.” I jumped out of my seat, knocking the chair over behind me. “Who are you to threaten my pack, my family?” I growled at this stranger. I could feel my wolf Ezekiel fighting me for control. “Silence your mutt before I muzzle him Kordell.” “That’s ALPHA to you!” I roared at the stranger, disrespecting my father. Before I could say another word, the stranger in front of me swiped his hand in a straight line through the air, and said something I didn’t understand. Instantly, my lips closed, and I could not open them. I tried frantically to separate my lips, using all my strength to open my mouth. I moved my hands to my mouth and felt my face. I couldn’t feel my lips, they were gone. I felt around my face for my nose, then I moved my fingers downward to my mouth area, and my mouth was gone. I looked over at my brothers, who just sat there with a trance-like look on their faces, jaws dropped open, eyes wide with fear. What the f**k was happening? I heard my father saying something to my mother. I couldn’t make out what he was saying. I looked over at them but neither of them was trying to help me. They just sat there, staring at this stranger who called himself Wepwawet. “Sit down, conduct yourself like a grown-up, and not like a rabid animal, and I will free your mouth. Nod, if you understand.” I looked at my brothers, they nodded at me, I nodded “yes” to Wepwawet. After Wepwawet decided I was nodding in agreement and wouldn’t be of any more trouble, he swiped his hand quickly through the air, just as he had done a few minutes ago. My mouth reappeared. I sucked in big gulps of air, as I picked up my chair, re-righted it, and sat in it. This guy is serious, and he had my undivided attention. “Let me proceed. My stay here is a quick one. My name is Wepwawet. I am from Lycopolis, City of Wolves, in Upper Egypt. I am a centuries-old deity from the pre-dynastic period. In ways, I do not understand why this pack has become one of the guardians of the King Sekhemkhet bloodline. Over the centuries, my brother Anubis and I have watched over your lands and your pack from afar. We’ve only set foot in the Americas two times. The first time was 5700 years ago when we dropped off two wolves. A male wolf named Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis, and a female wolf named Nut, daughter of Shu and Tefnut. And the second time is today to tell you, this one you call “Alsie” is a descendant of one of these bloodlines. She is the 100th generation born, and she is the Chosen of the Underworld. You must keep her safe for a little while longer. On her next Sky Day, her true potential will be unlocked. Nut the Sky Goddess, her great-grandmother many times over, will see to it. There is a threat coming to Alsie due to an artifact that was found a couple of towns over. A wolf by the name of Fenrir, thinks he and his family are the rightful owner of such an artifact and, therefore, he must destroy all those who know the truth. Keep her safe. I have warriors posted close to her job, and they watch over her when she is there. You’re not doing this alone. I must go now; my time here is short, and I have a long journey back.” “Wait, you don’t have time to answer any of our questions?” I asked Wepwawet quietly, and politely, still trying to process what I was being told. “No, I do not. But what do the young people say nowadays? That’s right, Google It. I must go.” Gamma Benji got up and together him and Wepwawet left the pack house. I looked at my mother and father in disbelief, astonishment, shock and awe. It feels like my whole life was just turned on its head. However, I was not prepared for the second part of this conversation. “OK, so that just happened,” stated Evander. “When Wepwawet took Osiris’s mouth, was that black magic or something?” asked Andrew. “No, that was just ancient power,” our father responded. “Wait, a minute. Some of this story is missing.” I said more to myself than to anyone else. “Huh, are you sure brother?” asked Andrew. “Yes. I am. But my first question is the backstory, or history we’ve been told about how Alsie’s parents ended up in the pack. Is any of it true?” “Yes, that story is 95% based in truth. William was found lost. He grew up here. We became best friends. He was my Beta before Jacob. He died in battle. All true. The part that was a bit fabricated is Ariel’s story. Ariel isn’t or wasn’t human. She was all wolf, but she was bound at the age of 17. It was done for her protection, and she was a willing participant. She knew the consequences. Ariel knew she was of ancient Egyptian descent, and she knew what powers she might have. We couldn’t know for sure, as we weren’t 100% accurate on which generation Ariel was. As it turns out, she was the 99th generation and her daughter Alsie is number 100,” explained my father. “OK, my next question: Is Alsie a pure wolf?” I asked timidly. “Yes. But Alsie was bound at age 2. That’s why her wolf didn’t show up on her 18th birthday, or well, she thinks her wolf didn’t show up. She has a wolf. I’ve met her wolf. She first shifted on her first birthday. Her wolf’s name is Rana. She will no longer be bound on her 25th birthday. She will have her wolf back.” My father continued to answer my questions without any double-talk. I was surprised. “Shifting at a year old? Are you serious?” snarled Andrew. “I think we need to know more about that, but first, Andrew, I have another question.” “Wepwawet said Alsie is a descendant of one of the bloodlines. Do we know who the other is? Do we know which pack they’re in?” I asked curiously. “Yes, we do. Horus’s descendants can only produce males, and Nut’s descendants can only produce females. We know Alsie and her mother were descendants of Nut because they are females. I am a male and I produced male heirs because I and now, you three, are the descendants of Horus.”
