A Deal With The Mafia Lord

Office hours had just ended surprisingly early today and everyone could be seen clearing out their desks and heading out. Amongst these persons, Jennifer Howard the 23year old secretary of Mr Luca Binachi, CEO the Binachi Enterprises could also be seen. Jennifer had just finished clearing out her desk and headed to her boss's office. "I'll be heading home now sir, is there anything else you'd like for me to do? Jennifer asked the moment she emerged the office. "No Ms Howard, that'll be all. You can leave now" Mr Binachi responded, taking his gaze off his laptop. He's seemed busy with some important work and so Jennifer assumed he'd not be leaving the office until he was done. He is such that doesn't rest until no work undone. Jennifer had always admired that about him, and has had a certain attraction for him. She's been with him for years now but not once has he noticed her despite her good looks. Mr Binachi is so strikingly handsome, it was too obvious not to notice. She noticed his new hair cut for the first time today, he had a neat quiff cut that suited rightly with his diamond shaped face. His lips were the shape of goldilocks, as he flickered through them with his thumb. He was a sight to behold. All the while, Jennifer stood oblivious of herself. She looked on with dreamy eyes, drooling over her boss. "Ms Howard, Ms Howard" Mr Binachi called out twice, staring at her. "Sir" she responded, jolting out of her thoughts "I said you could go home, I have no work for you here" he retorted, staring at her as though with the intent of boring a hole through her. "Alright sir" she said, stammering. Feeling embarrassed by her actions, she leaves the office, heading home. "Hello, David, I'm here at the office, bring him here. I'll be waiting." Mr Bianchi says over his cellphone. "Okay boss" David responds. And the call drops. Luca directs his attention back to his work. "Oh my God!!" Jennifer exclaims in the cab she'd bordered. "Is there a problem miss?" The cab driver asks confused as he drove on. "Please sir can you turn the car around and take me back to where I had alighted?" She asked trying to sound calm. "I forgot something at the office" she said. The driver took a U-turn back, just as she'd requested. Jennifer wondered how she had been so careless to have forgotten such an important file at her boss's office. She prayed her boss was not at the office. She felt ashamed to face him after the embarrassing scene earlier. About 30minutes later, his guests arrive with Luca's aides accompanying them. Jennifer arrived almost at the same time as them. She got in the building and tried using the elevator but for some reason, it wasn't functioning and so she headed for the stairs. Luca was already seated at the conference table in his office, awaiting their arrival. His office was such that one needs to get past the conference room to get into his main office. "Luca!" Ramon says on entering into the office "Ah! Ramon. Welcome, please have a seat" Luca says gesturing his hand towards the chairs. They sit two seats away from each other. The other men stood behind their bosses. "I'm sorry for the sudden change of plans" Luca apologies. "It's no issue, as long as I get what I came here for" Ramon responds. Jennifer arrived the office and was about to make her way in when she saw her boss in the company of some men whose faces she wasn't familiar with. Puzzled at what kind of meeting was being held at such late hour, she stayed behind to see what was going on "So then, where's the stuff. Can I have it?" asks Ramon Luca gives a signal and David moves towards him, opens up the case, puts it on the table in front of Luca. "Here it is" Luca says as he turns over the suitcase for Ramon to see inside it. "Is that the real stuff you got there" Ramon asks uncertain. "Common Ramon, I'm not the type to play games. You should know that by now" Luca responds. Ramon also signals one of his aides to go get the suitcase from Luca's side of the table. "Oh not so fast now. My money first" Luca says Ramon's aide moves towards Luca holding a suitcase as well, opens it up for Ramon to see it's content. "Is this complete? I don't want any jokes now" Luca says, taking a bundle from the stash of cash and putting it back in. "Well you could count it if you want" Ramon says to him "Nah! No need, I'll take your word for it" Luca says. She sees Ramon with a stash of cocaine in his hand. Ramon makes a hole in one of the stash, having a taste he says "this is good stuff, I'm sure my clients would love this" "You earned your title Luca." Ramon says. "The Italian Mafia lord" Ramon adds, making hands gestures in the air, excited. Luca nods and smiles to himself, as he puffs on his cigar. Jennifer was shocked at what she'd just witnessed. Her boss, an Italian Mafia lord? How did that happen? She wondered. She thought of taking photos or a video of the meeting but her phone battery would die off soon. So she watched on. "I hear you have a new shipment arriving at the border in a few days" Ramon asks. "How do you intend to avoid being caught" he further asks. "Don't worry about that. We got a man on the inside, he'll make sure to cover our tracks" Luca says. "I hope so" Ramon says "I wouldn't want to be involved in any issues with the police if this gets messed up" he says. "Rest assured. The shipment will arrive without hitches" Luca says "Well my friend, it's best I leave now" Ramon says getting off his seat. Luca stands up too and they both shake hands. "We'll meet soon for another deal" Ramon says "Of course" Luca responds. She resorted to leave before anyone noticed and was about making her way out when suddenly her cellphone rang. Everyone became alert in the room, guns c*****g. David moves forward to check who it was outside. They were barely inside when her eyes met with Luca's. He was obviously shocked to see her at the office at that hour of the night. She quickly takes her gaze off him and struggled her way free from the man holding her. She bites his hands off hers, kicks him in his groin and takes to her heels. "What nonsense is this Luca? Thought you said no one would be here at this hour?" Ramon fumes. "Who was that woman?" He quizzed "No one" Luca responds. "I'll take care of this, rest assured" Luca says. "Well you had better. Else if be forced to do so myself" Ramon threatens heading out the office. His men tail behind him, one of them grabbing the suitcase containing the drugs.
