After dying in an underground death arena, Ye Chen awakens in the body of a young Clan Head in a cultivation world.

The original Ye Chen had just inherited leadership of the Ye Branch Clan before being poisoned to death by unknown enemies. The clan itself is on the verge of decline. Resources are scarce, talented disciples are leaving, powerful rivals are constantly applying pressure, and even the future of the clan is uncertain.

However, everything changes when Ye Chen awakens with the Clan Ascension System.

Unlike ordinary cultivation systems, the Clan Ascension System focuses on the growth of the entire clan. By completing missions, expanding the clan's influence, recruiting talents, developing resources, defeating enemies, and increasing the clan's prestige, Ye Chen earns System Points that can be exchanged for powerful techniques, artifacts, pills, buildings, and countless other rewards.

As a former military veteran, engineering student, and underground fighter who always sought challenges, Ye Chen embraces his second life without hesitation.

His first challenge arrives immediately.

His cousin, Ye Tian, is suffering from a mysterious condition that has baffled physicians for years. Through investigation, Ye Chen discovers that the illness is actually the awakening of the legendary Ancestral Dragon Vein Physique, a physique once possessed by the founding ancestor of the Ye Clan.

After stabilizing Ye Tian's condition, Ye Chen begins rebuilding the declining branch clan.

However, the branch clan's troubles are only beginning.

The Zhao Clan seeks to seize the Ye Clan's resources.

Hidden enemies are responsible for the poisoning of the original Ye Chen.

The Main Ye Clan that once expelled Ye Chen's father still stands high above them.

And somewhere within one of the kingdom's strongest sects, Ye Chen's mother remains trapped after being forcibly taken away years ago.

As Ye Chen grows stronger, he develops the Ye Branch Clan from a declining family into the strongest clan within Azure River City.

The clan expands its territory, recruits talented disciples, establishes new industries, acquires powerful inheritances, and begins attracting attention from forces far beyond the city.

The story then expands from city-level conflicts to kingdom-level struggles, ancient inheritances, secret realms, dynasties, and continent-wide wars.

Throughout his journey, Ye Chen uncovers the truth behind his mother's disappearance, the secrets of the Ye Clan's ancient lineage, and the hidden forces manipulating events from the shadows.

The world consists of six great continents filled with countless kingdoms, sects, clans, empires, secret realms, ancient ruins, and legendary inheritances.

As Ye Chen's influence begins to expand beyond Azure River City, he eventually encounters the female lead, a talented and mysterious young woman whose background is tied to one of the major powers of the continent.

Unlike most people he meets, she is neither intimidated by his confidence nor impressed by his growing reputation. Their first encounters are filled with conflict, competition, and mutual suspicion as both pursue their own goals.

However, through shared adventures, dangerous secret realms, political conflicts, and life-and-death battles, the two gradually develop trust and understanding. What begins as a reluctant partnership slowly evolves into genuine affection.

Chapter 1: A Second Life
"The Clan Head is dead." The words hung heavily in the air. Inside the ancestral courtyard of the Ye Clan, silence followed the announcement like a funeral bell. Even the servants moving through the compound lowered their heads instinctively. Night had already fallen over Azure River City. Rows of lanterns illuminated the sprawling clan estate, casting trembling shadows across stone pathways and ancient buildings. Yet despite the warm glow of the lanterns, the atmosphere throughout the clan remained cold and oppressive. A group of elders stood outside a heavily guarded room. Their expressions were grim. "The physician already confirmed it," Elder Sun said quietly. "Young Master Ye Chen stopped breathing nearly an hour ago." Several people lowered their heads. No one questioned the physician's judgment. The old man had practiced medicine for over forty years. If he declared someone dead, there was little room for doubt. "What happens now?" another elder asked. His voice carried obvious anxiety. "The Zhao Clan has been watching us for months. If news of the Clan Head's death spreads, they'll make their move immediately." "We can't hide this forever." "We don't need forever," a third elder replied. "We only need enough time to stabilize the clan." The discussion quickly became heated. Some advocated secrecy. Others argued that the clan needed to announce the death publicly. A few worried more about external enemies than funeral arrangements. No matter how they looked at it, the situation was dire. The Ye Branch Clan had been struggling for years. Resources were becoming increasingly scarce, talented cultivators were difficult to retain, and several neighboring factions had begun eyeing the clan's territory with growing interest. Although Ye Yun the previous clan head had voluntarily stepped down from the position of Clan Head not long ago, believing that a younger generation would have a better chance of leading the clan forward. Unfortunately, fate seemed determined to mock that decision. The new Clan Head had barely settled into his responsibilities before tragedy struck. Only three days after assuming leadership, Ye Chen had fallen victim to a mysterious poison. Now he had been declared dead. To outsiders, the Ye Clan looked less like a respected cultivation family and more like a wounded beast surrounded by predators. Every rival clan in Azure River City could see the weakness. The only question was who would make the first move once news spread beyond the clan walls. Outside, elders argued over what should be done next. Inside the room, however, none of those discussions reached the ears of the young man lying motionless on the bed. His world consisted only of darkness. Then came pain. A crushing headache erupted inside his skull without warning, as though countless needles had been driven directly into his mind. The sudden agony dragged him out of unconsciousness, and his eyes snapped open. For several moments, he could do nothing except stare blankly at the unfamiliar ceiling above him. His vision remained blurry. Every breath felt strangely heavy, while a dull ache lingered throughout his body. The sensation reminded him of the aftermath of an especially brutal fight—except this pain ran much deeper, reaching into his bones and muscles alike. "Fuck..." The curse escaped naturally. His throat felt dry enough to burn. Slowly, he shifted his arm and attempted to sit up. The simple movement sent another wave of discomfort through his body, forcing him to pause halfway before finally managing to push himself upright. As his senses gradually recovered, he began taking in his surroundings. The room was unlike anything he had seen before. Dark wooden furniture occupied the corners, each piece crafted with remarkable detail. Oil lamps cast a warm glow across the walls, while paper-covered windows filtered the moonlight into pale silver patterns across the floor. The faint scent of medicinal herbs lingered in the air, mixed with the aroma of burning incense. The entire place looked as though it belonged in an ancient historical drama rather than the modern world he remembered. Confusion immediately surfaced. His first instinct was to assume he had somehow been kidn*pped. The idea lasted less than two seconds. After all, no kidnapper in existence could explain what he was looking at. A frown slowly formed on his face. His memories felt incomplete, as if someone had torn pages from a book and scattered them throughout his mind. The last thing he clearly remembered was the underground arena. The deafening roar of thousands of spectators. The bright lights hanging above the ring. The metallic taste of blood lingering in his mouth. His opponent had been relentless, refusing to stay down no matter how many times Ye Chen knocked him to the ground. The fight had pushed both men beyond their limits. Then came the final exchange. One punch. One step. A sudden pain exploding inside his chest. After that... Nothing. An uneasy feeling settled in his stomach. Almost instinctively, Ye Chen lowered his gaze toward his hands. The moment he saw them, his pupils contracted. The hands resting on his lap were not his. At first glance they appeared similar enough to be overlooked, but the differences became obvious the longer he stared. The fingers were slightly longer, the skin smoother, and several familiar scars that should have been present were nowhere to be found. His heartbeat quickened. Before Ye Chen could fully process the discovery, an overwhelming flood of memories crashed into his mind. The impact was so sudden that his vision darkened. A sharp pain erupted behind his eyes, forcing him to grip the edge of the bed as countless unfamiliar experiences surged through his consciousness. Scenes flashed before him one after another. A young boy training beneath the scorching summer sun until his hands bled. A stern but dependable father who rarely expressed his emotions through words. A beautiful woman whose face had gradually become nothing more than a distant memory. The sprawling grounds of the Ye Clan. Cultivation lessons. Clan meetings. Arguments between elders. The pressure of leadership. And finally, the lingering agony of a poison that had slowly consumed its victim from within. The memories did not arrive in any particular order. They collided with one another chaotically, intertwining with his own recollections until the boundary between two lives became increasingly difficult to distinguish. Ye Chen remained seated on the bed, his jaw clenched tightly as he endured the torrent of information. Time seemed to lose all meaning. It could have been minutes or perhaps much longer before the storm finally began to weaken. When the last fragments settled into place, the room grew quiet once more. Only the sound of his breathing remained. Ye Chen lowered his head and stared at his hands in silence. The truth was absurd. Impossible, even. Yet every piece of evidence pointed toward the same conclusion. The man who had once fought in underground arenas on Earth was dead. In his place remained a young cultivator named Ye Chen, the newly appointed Clan Head of the Ye Branch Clan. A bitter smile appeared on his face. What were the chances? Out of countless names in the world, the owner of this body happened to share his own. The original Ye Chen had inherited the position of Clan Head only days ago. Unfortunately, he never had the opportunity to truly assume the role. A mysterious poison had weakened his body, drained his vitality, and ultimately claimed his life before he could accomplish anything. And in the instant that life ended, another began. Ye Chen leaned back against the bed and released a long breath. Most people would probably panic after finding themselves in such a situation. Some would refuse to accept reality. Others would desperately search for a way home. Surprisingly, he felt neither fear nor despair. Confused? Certainly. Curious? Without question. But beneath the confusion was another emotion he could not ignore. Excitement. The world described within these memories was unlike anything he had ever known. Powerful cultivators could split mountains with a single strike, ancient clans controlled vast territories, and countless opportunities awaited those strong enough to seize them. Compared to the life he had left behind, this world felt infinitely larger. A slow grin spread across his face. "Well," he muttered to himself, "this is definitely more interesting than dying.” Just as Ye Chen was trying to organize the countless thoughts swirling through his mind, a mechanical notification suddenly echoed inside his consciousness. [Ding!] [Compatible Host Detected.] [Binding Process Initiated...] [1%...] [15%...] [42%...] [87%...] [100%.] [Clan Ascension System Successfully Bound.] Ye Chen froze. For a brief moment, he simply stared into empty space. Then his eyes widened. The confusion lingering on his face vanished almost instantly, replaced by unmistakable excitement. "A system?" As someone who had spent years reading novels during military deployments, long train rides, and sleepless nights between university assignments, he was hardly unfamiliar with the concept. Transmigration. Cultivation worlds. Systems. Golden fingers. These stories had been everywhere on Earth. Of course, he had never expected to experience one personally. A grin slowly spread across his face. "Now we're talking." The system remained silent for a moment before responding. [Correct.] Ye Chen immediately sat up straighter. The pain throughout his body suddenly seemed far less important. He had already accepted that he had somehow transmigrated into another world. Compared to that, obtaining a system felt surprisingly reasonable. "What kind of system are you?" [Clan Ascension System.] [Primary Function: Assist the Host in developing and strengthening the Ye Clan.] Ye Chen blinked. That answer immediately caught his attention. Most systems he remembered from novels focused entirely on the protagonist. Strengthen yourself. Become stronger. Dominate everyone. This one seemed different. Its focus wasn't him. It was the clan.
