CHAPTER 9
THE AFTERMATH
It was less than twenty-four hours since Bobby Moylan sacrificed himself. Due to Bobby’s heroic actions, as well as the quick work of Joey, Ellen, and several Emergency Services Unit cops, Bobby and Marwan were the only casualties of the explosion. Now, this unlikely, shell-shocked group sat around the large table in the police commissioner’s conference room, clueless as to the nature of the assembly.
Lt. Joey Galeno recognized everyone around the table. Inspector Ellen Tomlinson was on his left and Jimmy Boy Craig was seated to his right. Across the table from him were four ESU cops. He did not know these cops, but he recognized them as the officers he had turned over the nuclear backpack to on the previous day.
