As I approached the sliding doors to the hospital, an uneasy feeling crept into my stomach. I tried to tell myself it was because I wasn't supposed to disturb Peyton when he was visiting patients, but somewhere deep in my psyche I knew it was more than that. I wasn't stupid. There was something in this hospital that no one wanted me to see. It was entirely plausible that it was just as Peyton said, no one wanted the scars of the previous Alpha to hurt the Luna of the future, but I was starting to doubt that reason more and more.
