Amelia's Point of View
I came around just a few minutes later. I had a blinding headache and my stomach was up in my throat. There was a loud ringing sound reverberating in my ears. I put my head between my knees and took some deep breaths, until the bells had quietened to a low-level hum.
Getting off of the floor was a lot tougher than I imagined it would be. When I lost consciousness, I had slid from my sitting position onto my back. As soon as I started to pull myself upright, I immediately felt light-headed and had to lie back on the floor. The consequences of using my powers were getting worse.
