Kendy woke with the first rays of the sun flashing into the cave. Looking up, she saw Aakesh standing in the front of the cave entrance, staring out over the waves. Wrapping a blanket around her, she walked over to him where she ran a hand down his back, watching the trembles of his dragon beneath his skin.
“Hey you. Did you sleep at all? The place next to me looks kind-of abandoned.”
Turning, he gazed at her, slowly lifting a hand to place a string of hair behind her ear before smiling. “Beautiful.”
“Not really what I asked?” Her voice was teasing and laughter in her eyes.
Shrugging he motioned to the make-shift bed. When she sat, he stood leaning against the cavern wall. “I actually didn’t bring you all the way here to seduce you, you know.”
