When his truck stuttered and came to a stop for the umpteenth time, Rudi opened the door, cursing as he went. Getting to the bonnet, he lifted the hood and looked at the engine in disgust. “Damn this piece of crap, should have listened to Dad, and used his car instead.” Frustrated, he pulled on some of the cables, trying to figure out what the problem was. Times like these, he whished that he had studied Mechanical engineering rather than electronic. Finally, giving up, he slammed the hood down and looked around. To make matters even worse, he seemed to be lost. He could have SWORN he had followed Darius’s instructions to the letter, but here he was, in the middle of the desert in what seemed to be, nowhere. And then… That icky feeling of being watched that had followed him for hours now.
