Sheara was standing in her rose garden, watching the sun set. Inside her, her thoughts and feelings were conflicting. Her daughter had left without much of a warning and now, her husband have barely spoken to her in more than a week. Slowly, kneeling, she buried her face in a flower, inhaling the scent but also hiding the tear that rolled down her check and dripped onto the petals in front of her. Her senses were such that she was aware of the approaching figure and did not want him to see her pain. She should have known better by now, after all, they were linked by more than just the ring on her finger.
