Battlefield

I went with Sam, Paul, Maze, Noctis, and a few of his men to the location where I would deliver my speech. I was nervous and concerned that Selene arrived with Cloud and Venus and not us. The minute I saw her my jaw dropped. She was wearing a sheer sparkly crop top and long skirt with a slit on each side revealing her long smooth legs. She had a very elegant looking headpiece that had sparkles that lay perfectly on her long black hair. Sam even looked intimidated by her. Sam was wearing a simple but nice long light blue dress. This is the most elegant I have seen Sam look. I was worried she was going to be sad about missing the prom. Paul led us to the steps where I would look out to my people and speak. I was worried and I know Sam could tell. She was holding my hand the whole time. I found some comfort in this but I was too overwhelmed to be calm. I walked up to the podium and looked out to the crowd. All these people were looking at me as if they had seen a ghost or god. They began to cheer and I was taken back by that.

"Your people have missed you," Selene said. I looked around and everyone nodded. Maze gave me a reassuring pat on the back before I spoke.

 " I know most of you have wondered where I have been and assumed I had died. I am very much alive and have returned to bring peace and prosperity back to the galaxy. I can guarantee our victory and will never leave or disappear again. You have all been brave and loyal. I appreciate your devotion and will take that with me to the battlefield. I will win this war and we shall celebrate for years to come."

The crowd was cheering the whole way through but as I said the final words their roars became louder. Paul and Maze walked up to the podium and the crowds cheered.

"Selene," Paul said. She had no emotion and walked up to the podium. I didn't expect the crowd to be any louder than they just were but they began to clap, cheer and even cry at the sight of Selene. She just bowed her head and then swiftly walked away.

"It's time to go," Noctis said. Selene went off with Cloud and Venus back to their ship and I left with Paul and the rest of the guys.

"That went well," Sam said.

"Yeah, I think it did," I told her.

"Still can't believe you're a king," she said mockingly. I placed my head on hers and we began to laugh together. Noctis told me we would be heading to the planet Nix and should be there within minutes. I wasn't sure what I was expecting. I've seen war documentaries and played a few war-based video games. I still couldn't picture what I was heading into. We quickly landed and Noctis and his men grabbed me and pushed me off of the ship.

"Take them back to Callisto at once," Noctis said.

"Axel!," Sam shouted. I wanted to tell her not to worry but everything happened so fast. Suddenly another ship came and out came Cloud and Selene.

"Why are you here," I said.

"We are the strongest warriors you have," Cloud answered. I still looked confused. I didn't want Selene to get hurt and I knew my mind would only be thinking of her if she is here.

"I will be fine, you need to focus on yourself and winning this battle," Selene said harshly. She was dressed in all white and was wearing pants and a tight crop top. I guess she looks beautiful even when she is at war. Cloud and Selene then ran from where we were. Noctis looked at me and said, "Are you ready?" I just nodded and with that, he told his men to head forward and he and I walked behind.

"Be on the lookout Sire, they might have some crawlers with them," Noctis said.

"Crawlers?" I thought. Suddenly, I saw Cloud and Selene. She really was amazing. She was holding two swords and one was covered in flames the other made out of ice. Cloud's all-black sword was huge. They killed their opponents within seconds. I noticed a few hundred men running towards us.

"Get ready!" Noctis shouted. The men up front did hold off a good amount but some did breakthrough. As the other men approached us, Noctis released his long thin sword. He was very skilled as well. It took a while for anyone to approach me. As soon as one of the men came close to me I knew what I had to do. I used my spirits to unleash my wrath. I thought back to my parents and to sam and her family. I thought about the promise I made to my people and to Selene who was fighting alongside me. I instantly killed about thirty men. I was proud and ready for more. I turned around looking to see if anyone was coming and then was knockdown by a six-armed creature with a long tongue. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it in any movie or video game. Suddenly the creature's head was cut off his body.

"Are you okay," Selene said as she extended her hand to help me up.

"Yeah, what was that," I said.

"Crawlers," she said. "They're not from any planet in our galaxy so we know someone brought them here." I had no time to respond. I had to defend myself once again from another crawler. They try to grab a hold of you using their long tongues. It was kind of gross. I think I was one bite off the arm of one of Noctis's men. I was a little scared but stayed focused. I think I had killed about 12 of those creatures. They exploded and released a yellow goo when they were cut open. Noctis and his men advanced into the capital and Selene and Cloud checked the area for anymore dark spirit holders and crawlers. Noctis then suddenly brought a dark spirit holder to me.

"Tell your men and your leader, our king is back and all of you will die," Noctis said aggressively. He released him and the dark spirit holder ran off and left the planet.

"You think he is going to tell them," I said.

"Your back aren't you," he said. "That's something they should be afraid of and want every one of their men to know." I guess he had a point. We looked around some more and saw no enemy in the area. Some of the people from Nix came and thanked us for helping them and killing those creatures.

"Ready for the next battle?" Noctis asked. I was tired and ready to take a shower.

"Now?" I asked.

"You will go and rest," Selene said. "But we have to head off to the next planet soon." And with that, we headed back to Callisto. That was one victory down and many many more to go.
