I wasn't really looking forward to my training session with Cloud but I didn't want to just ditch either. After school, I just headed to the field where Maze took me yesterday. Cloud and Maze were already standing there waiting for me. I looked around but Selene wasn't there. Cloud had a very long thick sword with him. I walked up to the pair and Maze threw a sword at me. It was thinner but just as long as Clouds.
"I would have brought you your phoenix sword but you might not be ready for that," Maze said. "You may not know how to wield a sword but give it all you got." As soon as he said those words Cloud had lunged at me. He was fast and it was hard to block his attacks. He ended up cutting my bicep a couple of times. Maze stopped us a few times to show me how to grip the sword and how to go about striking an enemy. I was getting the hang of it but Cloud was still too fast.
"It's hard to believe you're the same Phoenix King I fought once before, you don't deserve her," Cloud said. It wasn't hard to guess who he was talking about.
"So this is about Selene, what's your deal, you want her but she is mine," I said without thinking. Cloud came towards me and pointed the edge of his sword at the center of my throat.
"You know nothing, as you are now you are weak and pathetic," he said. "She needs to be protected at all costs." I slapped the sword away from my neck and glared at Cloud.
"I will always protect her," I told him.
"Ha, you can't even protect yourself," Cloud said. With that remark, I felt the fire burn inside me. The ground beneath my feet had already burnt to ash. Maze came towards me to make me aware of the flames I had produced. Cloud walked away and headed back to the ship.
"What the hell is his problem?" I asked Maze.
"He is very protective of Selene," Maze responded.
"I can see that," I said, "Did they use to date or I don't know."
"She belongs to you sire and she has never been with another," Maze said.
"Oh," I said softly.
"Cloud and Selene grew up together. They were both orphaned at a young age. They bonded at the spirit temple when they learned that they were spirit holders. As soon as Cloud and Selene found out she was a trinity spirit he knew she needed to be protected and kept safe until you found her," Maze explained.
"Oh, wow," is all I could say.
"It is Selene who helped Cloud control his power and help him remain good," Maze added. There was so much I didn't know and Selene has already been through so much. Maybe I should consider going back with them. It's not like they said I couldn't come back after we win the war. But could I really help them win anything in the state I am now, I ended up practicing a few more hours with Maze. Once we were done I wanted to go visit Selene but I decided to just go home instead. I was driving home when I got a text from Sam so I decided to drive to her place before going home. She was sitting outside her house.
"Hey, what's up," I asked.
"I'm good, my parents just stormed out of here after fighting again," she said.
"That sucks, sorry," I said.
"Axel," she sighed. "Whatever this is your doing don't let it change you, please."
"Um, it won't,' I said. I wasn't sure if I was telling the truth but I know she and Hunter were worried about me even if they didn't say much about what's been happening. She got up and put her hand on my arm.
"Just take care of yourself," she said while touching one of my wounds on my arm.
"I'll be fine," I said.
"I hope so," she whispered.
"Let's hang out tomorrow after school," I said.
"Yeah," she said cheerfully.
"Yeah, I'll tell Hunter not to get detention," I joked. Her face dropped a bit and then she said
"Oh, okay yeah."
I then gave her a hug and drove home. I went up to my room as soon as I reached my house. I was physically and emotionally drained. I opened my bedroom door and Selene was sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Hi," she said. Her voice was so delicate and smooth. I couldn't help it but I ran towards her and held her. She gripped my shirt in her hands.
"I don't know if I am doing anything right but I am trying," I said
"I know, I hate that this happened to you," she said. "You were the strongest man I have ever met."
"And now I am a wimp who can't control his emotions," I said tearfully.
"I have seen you cry before Alexander," she said. "Axel you are still capable of being a good king even feared by all and cry from time to time." I held her even tighter. Her hair smelled like roses and strawberries. She brought her hand to my face and kissed me gently. I kissed her again more passionately and with so much eagerness. I needed her more than I could have ever imagined. I began to lift up her shirt and take in the beautiful view in front of me.
"Your so beautiful," I told her. I kissed her again and gently pushed her on the bed. I took off my shirt and she began to help me unbutton my jeans. My hands were roaming her body as we kissed. I found my way to her shorts and unbuttoned them and took them off slowly. I kissed her neck and gently caressed her breast. She ran her fingers through my hair and I got lost in the moment. Her skin felt so soft and smooth. I felt my body react to hers. I was ready to be one with her but I knew this would change everything. I already felt a strong connection to her. She ran her fingers by one of the cuts in my arm and I hissed at the friction. She released some water from her fingertips and healed the cuts on my arms. I brought my mouth to her breast and licked them as much as I could. I sucked on them and squeezed them. Her taste in my mouth was delectable. Her soft moans and whimpers were heaven. It was like a melody I so longed to hear and anyone else would not sing it as pure and sweet as her. I kissed her stomach and placed kisses lower and lower until I reached her core. I was not sure where my confidence came from and I was getting more nervous at the sight of her womanhood but I was not ready to stop.
Suddenly I heard my phone buzz and then I was prepared to ignore it. I heard the front door open.
"s**t, my parents," I said. I went over to grab a long enough T-shirt and handed it to Selene. "I'm sorry." Selene giggled a bit and then said: " It's okay." I grabbed some jogger shorts and a tank and put it on. I sat on the bed with Selene.
"Please, don't go," I said as I noticed Selene moving off the bed. She sat back down beside me and I put my arm around her shoulder. She noticed a notebook on my bedside table. I was going to stop her from picking it up but then hesitated to react.
"You drew me," she said as she opened the notebook and looked at the drawings.
"Yeah, before I met you I saw your face in my mind and even in my dreams," I told her. She turned around to look into my eyes and I saw the sadness in hers.
"Alexander, if I asked nicely would you wake up?" she said softly.
