After Alex left my room, I finished packing and hid my bags in my closet. I got dressed and went downstairs to have dinner with him, as I promised. It’s been just the two of us and the staff in this massive mansion for months.
This is the first evening in a very long time that I will be sharing a meal with him. In my previous life, I was always running off to be with Drake. Back then, Drake said that I needed to prove I did not want Alex. And like the fool I was, I did what he said and avoided Alex as much as I possibly could.
