Leto's Vengance (Completed)

Maya's POV (sneak peek chapter) I never knew what it was like to have a big loving family. Now with Alpha Gene's pack, Athens, Mortou, and now Hawk plus Amber. This life couldn't be more blessed for us. Athens took Hawk to get Ronan. The cutest two year I had ever met. Black hair like Hawk and bright green eyes like Amber. I was amazed he was not theirs but adopted. Jewel became her self-appointed governess of Ronan. My son, became close to Ronan, taking him on walks in the backyard and pointing out different things that he had studied closely in his younger years. It amazed me the depth at which he would look at things. His autistic mind picking up details we would have missed just by glancing over its beauty. I wondered what this baby I held in my stomach, would be like? "You ok darling?" I felt Joe wrap his arms around me. "Yes just overwhelmed by the love." I sighed sagging into his embrace. "Good," He planted a kiss on the top of my head as he smacked my butt. "Annoying wolf," I huffed at him grinning. "So," Athens's voice popped in. I raised a brow at him lazily sitting in a chair on the back porch. Athens grinned, "Mato would like to send a few warriors with you." Leaning back to stretch in his chair. "How many?" Joe asked. "Three or four I think." He shrugged. Since finding his mate he was slightly different in his attitude towards the flirty side of him. He was still Athens and he would still throw his zingers out to the world but the flirtatious aspect had slowed down a lot. He and his mate or one true love were perfect. Though his love is human they had talked about turning him except the downfall would be the sleeping and the aversion to the sun. Although Athens being a daywalker, though possible that his mate could become one too. All of it was up in the air at this point still. "Well, any security that we can keep with the kids will be helpful. I heard Elder Braun and his now-wife Pinky will meet us in Europe." Joe smiled mentioning their marriage. "When are we getting married, Maya?"He raised his red brow at me. "Let's get through this crazy first wolf," I shook my head at him. He had been asking that question non-stop. "When you're ready darling," He smirked as he winked swatting my tush yet again. Turning on his heel he headed down the back porch ramp to go either the office or the garage. "You know you should have a wedding with that big beefcake." Athens snickered. "So a double one with you and Johnny?" I looked at him with a sly smile. "We could be brides together," I giggled like we were in high school. I settled in the chair across from Athens propping my feet up on his lap and tilting my head back. "I still haven't had a chance to play catch up yet with what has happened." I groaned. "Girl, you need to swish past that and jump on the train leaving now. You're living your best life." Athens playfully swatted my leg. "You're a f*****g Queen now," he scoffed. "You rule the entirety of the werewolf world. That in itself is awesome." A devilish grin slipped on his face as he added, "plus you have me as your soul bro. I am a God among men." He used his regal vampire voice. I started laughing hysterically. I had tears coming from my eyes, trying to wipe them is when I heard Hawk's voice. "Everything alright?" He asked looking between Athens and me. "It's totally fine," my laughter dying down to chuckle as I wiped the tears from my eyes. "Everything ok?" I looked up he normally didn't talk unless it was important. "I wanted to see if Amber could join your morning training sessions. She asked me if it would be ok to learn from you two as well." Hawk's brown eyes darted between us. "Of course," I responded with no hesitation. "I would enjoy learning any tricks that you may have as well." I gave him my warmest smile. It was difficult to get to know him, he seemed to keep himself distant. Only really showing his heart to Ronan or Amber. I understood I knew it would take time for us to build a bond like Athens or even Mortou had with me. Hawk and Amber had only shown up less than three days ago. So not much time had passed. "As long as Athens is ok with you learning some things from me." Hawk gave a slight head tilt to Athens. "I have no problems with her learning from you." Athens's voice is slightly different in his tone. Tense more than normal. "You say the words but I can hear the difference in your voice." Hawk gave Athens a small smirk of his own. "I will not harm her, she is the last of my family." Hawk gave me the warmest smile I had yet to see on him. "I see that is possible, but I also saw you during the storm of death in the churches." Athens leaned forward holding my feet still. "The amount of violence your beast can dish out and no way to kill you worries me a great deal." I watched Athens's eyes change to black as he looked at Hawk. I could sense the challenge in the air I stood, walking between them. "I have two brothers," placing my hand on each of them. "I would like it if you both played nice." I sighed. "Athens he will not kill me, Hawk, Athens has lost so much over his life he is super protective of me." I kissed Athens cheek and then Hawk's. "Let us bury this, please." My sigh exaggerated as I was tired of the tension between these two. "I will concede if he does," Athens leaned back in his chair. "Agreed, for my younger sister we shall sweep this under the rug. Work on building trust." Hawk's body position relaxing as he too sat down into the chair near us. "Perfect!" I squealed with a mini happy dance. "Where is Amber?" I looked around. "They're under the tree with kids." Hawk leaned forward to point. I followed his finger to see Amber sitting on a low branch, book open in her lap, Ronan sitting in Jewel's lap and Hawk my son next to them intently listening to her read. "She is a beautiful soul." I breathed, squeezing Hawk's other hand. "I was very lucky to find her." He grinned. *********** Greetings Readers! The tale has begun!
