Walking out of their tent, Uther contemplated pulling Kaida right back in and spending the rest of the night with her in his arms. Despite what she thought, he would choose that option each night given the chance. But he also knew that spending time with his men each of those nights was also just as important. Not only for the men, but for herself too. She needed to make that connection as their commander, learn a few things, especially about those meant to serve under her incase of a battle.
Her excitement, however, left him tense and took his guard up. Somehow, a picture of her smiling innocently at one of his men made its way to his head and he did not like it one bit.
