Alexandrov’s P.O.V~ I woke up from probably the worst night of my life. I didn’t get much sleep and I knew very well my eyes would have bags under them. It has been a couple of weeks since I saw my mate. Being separated from my mate was taking a huge toll on my body. I was tired more and my body was constantly sore. Those were a few of the symptoms that I would suffer while being away from my mate. Soon all these symptoms would drive me insane up until my death. It was worse now that I was much farther. I had traveled to England two weeks after my encounter with my mate. She was amazing and I wanted to stay and look for her but the werewolf council called and I was summoned to court with them. The council decided that since my pack had been war-free for a couple of years now I was the most capable leader in training the newer leaders.  Apparently, some Alphas didn't bother teaching their successors what was needed to become Alpha. Many packs were revolting against their Alphas and causing much harm to one another.  "Alpha Vasiliev!" My trainee greeted as I walked out of the room in workout close.  "Alpha Hunter" I acknowledge.  The werewolf council decided to send me to Canada. The Red Moon pack was in need of a trained Alpha.  Alpha Johannes Hunter was my newest recruit. His father was a terrible Alpha. He decided that Johannes was too weak to be alpha since his mate was a man. So his father trained his' beta's son Alec Kurt to be the next alpha. The only problem was that the beta's son was too weak and after a month of being in charge the pack started a revolution. Johannes had to take charge and when the week of 'Challenging the Alpha' came Johannes challenged Kurt. Much of his father's disappointment, Kurt did not survive the battle.  Leaving Johannes the rightful ruler of the Red Moon Pack.  "What will we be learning today Alpha Vasiliev?" Johannes asked in excitement.  It was good for me that Johannes was a quick study and everything I threw at him he mastered. I had no doubt that he would make a great alpha someday.  "Today we will train your warriors" I spoke as we walked out of the house in shorts and some t-shirts.  "But my warriors are trained. They fight well." Johannes spoke in confusion.  "Johannes"  "Please Alpha Vasiliev, call me Johan." Johannes pleaded to me once more.  "Very well Johan, Like I was saying. You must always be prepared for the worst. Like my father always said. Hope for the best and be prepared for the worst."  "Alpha, Is it true that The Green Forest pack has not been to war in years?"  "Yes, My pack has not been in a war in around 15 years. My father wanted a peaceful pack and that is exactly what I have done. But a peaceful pack doesn't necessarily mean a weak pack. My men can take on hundreds of wolves. I ensure it." I spoke with pride about my men.  "How can you be so sure?" Johan asked with curiosity.  "Because I hope for the best and prepare for the worst," I smirked as I repeated the phrase to him once again.  ~ Nyx's P.O.V- It was Monday afternoon and I had not had a chance to see Amelie yet. Every time I would pass by her office she was out running an errand for Greg. Or out to lunch with Misty. I was quite upset now. I didn't know why but I just had to see Amelie. I wanted to know what she was wearing and how she did her hair.  "Mr. Nyx?" Stefani my temporary assistant spoke as she slowly opened the door.  "What is it?" I sighed in annoyance.  This is the third time she has walked in without knocking first. I was beginning to get upset.  "Your next appointment is here." She smiled flirtatiously.  "Send her in," I replied curtly before turning away from her and looking back at the laptop on my desk.  I had been at the company for a total of 7 hours and all Greg and Taylor had managed to get me was an old laptop on an old wooden desk and a rusty office chair. I guess they were not prepared for my offer. Although being in this office was nothing compared to my actual office in my actual company. I couldn't help but feel giddy. It was weird but I was happy here and I didn't know why.  I heard a knock on the door and in walked the woman of the hour. Amelie... She had on a gorgeous blood red blouse with a small black pencil skirt. She had on a pair of closed toe heels and a small red headband held her hair back in waves.  "I was told you were looking for me." Amelie softly smiled.  She was softly panting and she looked tired. Her protruding belly was most likely the cause of her fatigue. I quickly stood up and helped her sit on the chair across from my desk. I was mesmerized by her looks and I couldn't help it.  "Um... Yeah. I wanted to see if you could print out a copy of our inventory and sales and give them to me. I want to make a few adjustments to what we will be selling and to some of the prices."  "Sure but wouldn't your assistant be able to fetch those things for you?" Amelie question in a small voice.  "I don't want her to do it. I want you to do it." I replied in a strict tone.  "Why?" She questioned.  I always hated being questioned for my actions but when Amelie did it I didn't mind it.  "She won't be here long enough for her to learn how to do that," I answered with a smirk on my face. “She quit already?” Amelie questioned in a chuckle.  “No, She will be dismissed,” I smirked back.  Amelie’s eyes quickly grew at my words. All humor and laughter had left her face. Now the only thing etched on her face was shock and disgust.  "She has been here for 4 years!" Amelie quickly challenged me.  "Careful with your tone Amelie, I might not be your direct boss but I can still have you fired." I rebutted quickly.  She had no right to blow up like that. If my assistant was here for so long why didn't she learn how to be a proper assistant? She had more than enough time to train in her field. It isn't like she started this job a week ago. Like Amelie said she has had enough time to learn how to do her job.  "On top of that, I don't owe you an explanation on why my assistant is or is not capable of doing her job to my liking. If she is not fit to assist me then I do not need her around." I quickly spoke in a definitive tone.  "If you do not like the way your assistant works then maybe it is you who needs to be dismissed and not her. She has been with the company for 4 years and knows what needs to be done. Unlike you who started today and act like you already own the place." Amelie argued.  "Careful with your words Ms. Jenova," I warned.  "If you want to have me fired then do it, but I will not be silenced. You need to be put in your place. Just because you are good looking and have money doesn't give you the right to treat someone else like trash." Amelie spoke once again as she stood up. She quickly turned and walked out of the room with furious steps.  I couldn't help but watch as Amelie walked out the door. Her firm butt swayed from side to side involuntarily as she stomped her way out of my office.  "So... You're mad?" I softly whispered and smiled to myself.  Amelie quickly slammed my door shut and I let out a soft chuckle.  "You will be the death of me one day." I smile as I quickly look at my laptop and look for assistant resumes.  Once I find a good one I quickly pick up the phone and call. Let’s go, assistant hunting.  Amelie’s P.O.V~ “I cannot believe him!” I shout as I walk into my shared office with Misty. I abruptly slam the door shut. Causing Misty to jump.  “What’s wrong Amelie?” Misty softly whispers at me.  “NYX!” I yell in anger.  “He is such a bastard!” I grumble as I look through the file cabinet in the office.  “What are you looking for love?” Misty asked as she stopped what she was doing to look at me with confusion.  “Our Inventory Sales.” I sigh as I continue to look for them in the file cabinets.  “Left cabinet, second drawer, in the third file.” Misty smiled as she returned to her work.  “Thanks.” I smile as I finally find the statement and sigh.  “Tell me when you get back. I love when you have gossip.” Misty smiles as she types away at her computer.  I smile and start to head back to Nyx’s office. I grumble as I walk in and place the file on his desk.  “Here,” I say as I plaster a fake smile on my face and walk out of the room.  I quickly head back into my office and take a seat at my desk.  “You will never believe what this douche of a guy did,” I say as I face Misty.  “What happened?” Misty smiles in excitement.  “Nyx! He’s a total ass! First, he calls me to his office to hand him an inventory report, which he just could have had Sasha print out for him. Then he starts to talk about how Sasha is not good at her job and how he plans to dismiss her.” I say in a rush.  “Well, cmon let's be honest she isn't that good at her job. I mean she’s been here for 4 years and she doesn't really do anything.” Misty quickly spoke up.  “Yeah Misty but still. She is really nice.”  "I know but still that doesn't mean she will keep her job just because she is nice," Misty argued.  "Plus, Nyx does have a point. She is his assistant and since he is now part owner of the company it is expected for her to be up to his standards." Misty added.  I sighed and looked at my desk.  Did Misty and Nyx have a point? Was I being too irrational? Maybe it was the hormones speaking.  I quickly shook my head and changed my thoughts. I will not blame this baby for what I feel.  "Maybe you're right... Although I still think he's an ass." I softly chuckled as I started on my work.  I just need to focus on my work and hopefully, Nyx won't bother me anymore today.
