Reborn
Many people are unsatisfied with their life. Love, work, maybe even their own self? In the end, everyone has that one problem that cross their mind every night. And when given the choice to start over in the world of their dream, is it wrong for them to say yes?
In one night, many people are found dead in their bead. No hint of attack, struggle, poisoning, nothing. Its like their heart just stop beating. Because they are transported to the new world. Those who come, whoever, mostly have one thing in common. They have played the same fantasy game at one point of their life.
Naturally, people are bound to be with the one they know or close. After realizing the new world is very similar to the fantasy world, people starting to adapt. Many band together to from their old alliance, some create new one. On top, there is five guild that triumph over the rest.
The Guild of Wild Wind.
The Guild of Inferno Blaze.
The Guild of Eternal Blizzard.
The Guild of One-Eye Tyrant.
The Guild of Moonshine.
The five is in eternal conflict, siding with one kingdom to beat the other down. Many smaller guild decide to be a sub-guild to one of these five guild, which is a wise move, considering the fact that sometime small guild are easy raid target by bigger ones. And because of that, only few small guild remains independent.
They five thought they are the strongest. Each of them has an extraordinary person. Until he appear.
He is a paladin who manage to beat the trump card of One-Eye Tyrant. This perks the guilds interest. Isn't its interesting? When someone defeat your trump card, only two natural choice would come. Destroy, or recruit. And considering the war between the guilds has been waging for quiet some time without any worthy development, he could change it all.
The five try to recruit him in their own way. Bribe, prize, duel, even threatening the man's party member, which doesn't end well. He reject them all with three simple reason.
He is not used to power position.
He has a guild he is searching for.
And he has someone special waiting for him at that guild.
Many try to beat him, only to be defeated. Even if one are close to defeat him, he still has two trump card under his sleeve that will ensure his victory, or mutual destruction. But with all that power, he doesn't like battling. He is a paladin, a job that kind of died down back in the fantasy game since it is too "versatile"
You see, most people prefer to be specialized in something. Whether it is using magic like a mage, dishing out damage like a sword master or gunner, or tanking damage like knight. Everyone focus on one. Only few job that focus on more than one. Like, a battle mage, who wield both sword and staff. Paladin on the other hand, focus on many. Dishing out burst damage, tanking, healing, buff and debuff, and of course, holy magic. They are like a jack of all trades, though they are not very good in any of them. Not to mention paladin equipment are hard to find and expensive.
And all job has limitation and drawback. For paladin, one of the limitation is that they are unable to attack randomly. They mostly fight to protect other or themselves. On the other hand, Darkness, the highest class possible of Dark Apprentice, is encouraged to fight as much as possible. But in return, they are forbidden to enter holy places, which is quiet important since some high level quest can only be accepted there.
After they do research, they find that the paladin is actually one of the top player. He never join any guild, mostly roam alone, and only helping newbies to get their bearing together. Even then, many people want him to join their guild. But he always refuse, saying he doesn't really like big group. But he know in his heart, its not actually why.
Before becoming paladin, he was a Darkness. He has slain countless people, all because he felt like it or for some material. But one day, something happen, and it hit him hard. He create a new job and become a paladin, hoping to redeem himself of his past.
In the game, one character has job slots. Meaning if he is level max Darkness, he could change into paladin, but still able to turn back to level max Darkness. The drawback is that experience is harder to get the more the job is. Changing job has high cooldown, and the person wouldn't be able to use their skill for some time, so its not available for battling.
On his search in the new world, he meet a newbie paladin, who look up to him in the game. He decide to take her under his wing to continue his legacy. Maybe not only his legacy that she would continue.
