Prologue
I arrived at the heart and music soul of Starling City; LAV Artist Center HQ.
It was only a two hour and a half drive from the Capital, my hometown; Charm City, and since I couldn't sleep a wink last night, I used the long drive to recover some rest. It also helped that I was the sole passenger of the vehicle.
My Staff and Crew landed this morning and I will be meeting them inside with the band.
Two weeks ago, I never would have imagined coming here . . . to work with the band that I've always loved and looked up to. When I found out I was officially managing the boys, I felt so elated, that until now I feel like I could just touch the sky.
Everything felt so surreal, and now I'm here.
I've heard rumors, threats and "concerns" from their past agency, about their notoriety . . . but I believe that their previous community –agency– had cornered them–somehow– into behaving in negative ways. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes the villagers are to be held responsible for the outcome of their seeds.
But then again, it won't hurt to be mindful.
I saw Penny walked out from the building and I threw my arms up and waved. I jogged towards her and greeted each other with a light hug.
"They're waiting for you," she said. She eyed me up and down. "You could have worn a corporate suit or a semi-formal dress . . . but nooo you just had to go with this," she pointed at my attire, condescendingly. "A white oversized sweater and black tattered jeans?" she cried.
"And the new Languard Boots from LAV Fashion," I said and smiled playfully, whilst endorsing my family's original shoe brand.
She scoffed but laughed. She shook her head and sighed, "Are you really sure about this?" she double-took.
I frowned, "Penny, it has been set long ago! Now, you lead, I follow!" I commanded playfully.
"I doubt that," she mumbled and I grinned.
We headed inside and into an elevator.
This is it. In less than a minute, I'm going to meet them. My pride and joy, Foxlove.
