Chapter 3
My encounter with Allucard seemed to have caused a stir in the kingdom. It was the talk of the towns as an array of hope and joy filled the hearts of the magical creatures. They felt their prayers had been answered. As I marched through the towns, I felt eyes on me. Eyes that gleamed with hope surged up this confidence in me to head on stronger in spirit than ever.Getting to the castle, I looked around at my once-called home. The rich-looking garden and magnificent fountain that greeted you at the entrance were now broken; the grass had dried up from an obvious lack of water. The once bubbling surroundings I grew up in now felt cold, like a dark aura covering the entire castle. A dark aura I needed to get rid of.On entering the castle, I was soon surrounded by rogue wolves who questioned my presence in the castle. I requested the presence of the king, and I was soon escorted to the courtroom. The same courtroom turned my life upside down. Something about the room in this court made my once angry spirit even angrier. Flashbacks, clearer than before, were crafted in my mind. Their struggles and pain soon became a reality as I began to feel them.I was soon interrupted by the loud thump made as Allucard walked into the room. I immediately assumed my stance. Standing before the ruthless king stood not a helpless young princess but a strong and resilient queen, ready to save her people from the hands of destruction. He observed me with those cold, dark eyes—the exact eyes that had never left my memory. He asked me what gave me the audacity to stand before him.I reminded him of his battle ten years ago and how he brought down the once-mighty rulers of Crestopia, King Lobo and Queen Esmeralda.I seemed to have stroked his ego as he put a smirk on his face, relinquishing his past victory against my parents. I went further to remind him of the princess who slipped out of his hands that day and who seemed to be back for revenge. With the smirk leaving his face, he began to put the pieces together and realized exactly who I was. His face showcased rage and intimidation, neither of which moved me. Noticing my indifference towards his behavior, it made him wonder. He couldn't put his finger in it, but he soon realized that not only had the princess grown up, her aura too had changed. It was now a mixture of pure rage and determination to take the crown away from him. Feeling threatened, he ordered me to leave the castle, threatening the lives of every magical creature in Crestopia. He told me he would go as far as burning the town if I didn't pay heed to his words. Realizing this was not the right time to go to war with the evil tryant, I only gave him a warning, telling him I would be back to claim what's rightfully mine and avenge the deaths of my parents. My words of warning echoed across the walls of the castle, mighty as they could be. For the magical creatures of Crestopia, these were words of hope and a better future. For Allucard, these were words he feared would lead to his downfall. He had never felt so threatened before. He wondered why the presence of an Alpha in her prime caused him so much anxiety. He had put an end to the lives of so many creatures, far and wide. He had destroyed kingdoms and taken down some of the most powerful werewolves across the land. But there was something about this young werewolf that sent shivers down his spine. For the first time in a very long time, I could see that he felt the words and actions of his opponents. With an angry voice, he ordered his rogue werewolves to take me down and lock me in the dungeons. They all launched at me, but to no avail. I was quicker, more agile, and stronger than each of them. I took them all down with so much ease that it baffled Allucard. He baffled at such strength that it provided her with the power to take down ten of his rogue wolves.Deciding to embark on her perilous quest to reclaim Crestopia another day, I headed for the door and dashed into town with rogue wolves trailing behind me. I moved as fast as I could, avoiding as many of them as I could. Luck came down on me when I took coverage under the roof of a fairy, Iridessa, who was more than happy to help. I thanked her immensely for her help. However, I feared for her safety as the rogue wolves instructed that any help offered to the lost princess would be considered an act of treason against the king.Night soon befell the land of Crestopia, with the full moon rising in the sky. It filled the air with its lunar presence, enriching and illuminating the night. It felt so empowering. My senses heightened, and the power of the moon exceeded my will. But there was something different about this particular night. The feeling didn't seem like any other night. It felt stronger, pulling me towards the enchanted forest.I felt drawn as I soon began making my way to the forest. This pull brought me to Mount Lato, the mountain my parents and I always visited every full moon. What was the moon trying to tell me? My thoughts were soon interrupted by a voice behind me that belonged to another werewolf standing before me. Despite his formidable status, he possessed a gentle aura that got me intrigued. His commanding presence is tempered by a quiet and nurturing demeanor. I began to feel the air crackle with unspoken energy that arose from the tension we both began to share. Before I knew it, I had begun to be drawn to this mysterious werewolf. I began to long for his touch under the glistering moonlight. Our connection deepened, transcending the complexities of our opposite natures. In quiet moments, we shared a strong, blossoming bond that we felt could break the chains of time.
