My Hidden Secret

At that exact moment, Mrs. White walked in with a worried expression "What happened,why the ruckus?" She asked looking straight at our protagonist who glared at her in return. This little brat thinks she's smart but my daughter showed her whose smarter. I'm proud of you my beloved stacy we'll fight this battle and make sure her father love only you and I, but for now we have to just play our part well. Mrs. White thought with great determination "Don't worry dear,it's just a little scruffy between the girls and l hope they can resolve this quickly" Mr. White said frowning at Sylvia "We're ok father don't worry at all" Stacy said smiling so brightly and looking at their parents "That is good to hear. I have something important today that is why I summoned you all. We have a good relationship with the Will family and their son Jack is of marriageable age so his parents wants us to attend his birthday banquet the date would be announced later on. Sylvia knew the meeting was meant for Stacy but why was she invited. She thought staring blankly at the window. Few hours later our protagonist can be seen sitting at the back seat of the White's family car,the butler was also present bidding her farewell. The car drove off leaving the butler alone. "Our lady has grown up" he mumbled smiling as he walked inside the mansion. The protagonist was sitting quietly in the car until a phone call interrupted that silence. She answered the phone and the voice of the other end made her smile which have never been seen plastered on her face. "Hi it's me Emily" she said her voice full of love and joy "Emily I've missed you. Dad told me to go attend one of his business meetings at the company but after that I'll come accompany you to the mall" she explained. "Your dad is such a party popper. He wants you to attend the meeting on his behalf while he is there talking and laughing with that so called witches". Emily howled simply disliking the stepmother and daughter as much as our protagonist. Hearing her friend support, our protagonist remembered all the time she supported and helped her during her childhood. One day, our protagonist who was 5 year old at the time was being mocked by a boy of another wealthy family. "You are so ugly". The boy stated with a grin on his face "No I'm not, my mom always said I'm beautiful". She shouted trying to prove the boy wrong but to no avail "Your mom is just lying or maybe she is blind". As the boy said that word, Sylvia even when crying approached the boy and gave him a tight slap across the face. Just then,another person gave the boy a slap removing the stupid grin off his face leaving everyone stunned and bewildered. "What the hell is wrong with you". The boy shouted "I'm here to teach you some proper etiquette. Firstly you are not meant to talk to people in such a way even if they are of the same status. Didn't your parents teach you proper etiquette or are you just dumb". Emily said pointing her finger at him looking confident. The other children at the venue started pointing fingers at the boy and whispering. Since that unforeseen event, the two girls became best of friends.
