Suicidal Ghoul

Chapter 8

Deadshot, Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang, Katana, and Killer Croc ducked down to take cover while the whole place became a war zone as many of the NAVY SEALs were getting either killed or injured.

Bullets impact everywhere at the wall they are taking cover on, getting thinner and thinner since many of Joker's men were shooting at it with machines guns and rifles.

"Where the hell is Kaneki?!" Floyd demanded.

"He's with Joker right now." Flag answered.

"How did snow hair get past those guys, eh?" Harkness asked.

"Kaneki can make four red tentacles out of his back. That's his predatory organ called Kagune. You do not wanna see him when that thing come out of him since Amanda told me he is brutal and very good at using it." Flag informed while firing at the men that were shooting at them before taking cover again.

"So, snow hair is alien like Superman, eh?" Harkness questioned as he began scratching his head.

"Seriously! Harkness! Where does your mind go when I tried to explain everything at the chopper?!" Flag retorted, raising his voice. He was getting annoyed by that moron who had fetishes for pink unicorn.

"We need to get to him, now." Deadshot declared before firing three rounds at the enemy's position, killing three men.

"What secret?!" The Joker demanded before gritting his teeth while his nose were still bleeding

"That you are just a poor man who had a horrible past. I can only say that you lost someone before you became a psychopathic killer."

"You don't know nothing." Joker growled before kicking Kaneki in the gut, which was nothing to him.

The Joker suddenly fell on his knees and began spitting blood. He was severely injured by Kaneki's attack from earlier.

"Who is it? What really made you become the prince of crime? There must be something bad has happened to you that made you this way. Was it your father? No! Maybe, it was your wife and your unborn child?" Kaneki guessed. And he was right when The Joker suddenly reacted by pulling another gun from his holster angrily as Kaneki's Kagune began to dissolve until it was completely gone.

Kaneki started cracking his fingers, "You really do remind me of someone." The Joker do reminded the ivory head ghoul of Yamori. He was much like him.

The Joker suddenly started laughing again when he lowered his gun, "You're right, emo. But not for long."

Kaneki suddenly realized that he letted his guard down. He turned around and saw Harley with a rocket launcher. He tried to cover himself with his Kagune, but it was too late, The Joker's girlfriend already pulled the trigger and the rocket hitted him in the face while Joker jumped away from the blast.

The explosion made Kaneki flew a few feet away before the force pinned him to a wall. The Black Reaper fell to the floor as his vision began to blur.

Kaneki survived the blast, but he was injured. His white hair were burned while some of his body turned into a crisp.

His clothes were completely burned except the suit that Bruce gave him. His mask was still fine because Bruce made some modifications to it.

The suit seemed to be an armor. It was the reason that Kaneki only sustained a few injuries and why he's still not naked right now.

Kaneki suddenly saw Joker was walking towads him with a revolver on his hand. He tried to stand, but Harley started smashing Kaneki's head with a baseball bat, over and over.

He was starting to lose his consciousness as he tried to crawl away. He then tried to use his Kagune, but the Joker shot his kakugan eye multiple times, which made Kaneki screamed in pain.

"I found out that your eye must be the only part that isn't tough. An eye for an eye, Black Reaper." Joker informed before shooting Kaneki's left eye again until he ran out of bullets while Kaneki was still screaming as Harley was still smashing him in the head again.

Kaneki realized that he underestimated his enemies. 'No! I can't lose here!' Kaneki thought as he continue to suffer from Harley's attack and Joker's crazy annoying laugh.

He felt relief when the rest of the squad with a team of soldiers appeared behind his two attackers.

"Stop it! Harley!" Flag ordered while pointing his gun at Harley as the rest of soldiers pointed their guns on the prince of crime.

"You guys! Suck the fun out of everything." Harley admitted before surrendering when she stopped hitting the injured emo who is crawling on the blood stained floor

"This is not over!" The Joker growled before surrendering. And with that, one of the soldier made him kneel before cuffing him, while the other has done the same to Harley.

The soldiers took them away, leaving the squad alone with Kaneki.

The white haired emo saw Rick, Katana, and Deadshot walked towards him before he blinked his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Holy s**t! His body is healing very fast." Flag admitted as they saw Kaneki's injured body was healing.

"Damn! What the hell did they do to him?" Floyd demanded while staring at Kaneki's healing body and saw bullets were slowly coming out of Kaneki's left eye.

"They shot me with a rocket launcher before shooting my eye with a revolver. I felt like I was about to die." Kaneki informed before his left eye was no longer spitting bullets. He didn't knew that his kakugan eye was showing again.

Deadshot and Katana took a step back when they saw the white haired emo's finally healed eye was red and black.

"Don't worry! That's his kakugan eye. His eye will become into that when he's hurt and stressed. He cannot control it since he's not full ghoul." Flag reassured as kneeled down with one knee, examining Kaneki.

Deadshot and Katana look at each other for a moment before staring at Kaneki again.

"Is snow hair okay?" An australian voice boomed out from behind. The three turned around and saw that it was Digger Harkness holding his boomerang with Killer Croc beside him.

"This 'snow hair' is fine." Kaneki declared before standing up, "Damn! It burns." He examined his body and saw that it had completely healed from the attack he took, but he didn't knew he was still hot and smoking.

"Kaneki! Your body is still smoking." Flag informed as he stood up behind the emo ghoul.

"It's okay. I had worse." Kaneki reassured, "But that rocket launcher burned my clothes."

Deadshot scoffed before everyone started laughing except Harkness and Killer Croc.

"One day, you're gonna take it too far, man." Floyd remarked.

Belle Reve

The gangster clown was locked in a cell while his girlfriend was in the interrogation room with Flag and the ivory head emo.

Harley is strapped on a steel chair as Flag prepares the nanite on his hand, while Kaneki was leaning against the wall, watching the crazy pale woman struggle as he started cracking his fingers.

"How about the new recruit? Does he have a nanite in him?" Harley questioned when she stopped struggling.

"No. He's the most cooperative in the squad, besides Katana. Nanites wouldn't be able to kill him anyway." Flag answered as she injected Harley with the nanite, which made the crazy pale woman groaned in pain.

"What do you really know about the Joker, Harley?" Kaneki questioned as he stopped cracking his fingers.

"Is that he loved me. And he's much more handsome than you, Reapy." Harley mocked before laughing maniacal.

Kaneki started walking towards the insane woman before unzipping his mask, but still not taking it off.

He suddenly bit Harley's neck which made Harley screamed in pain as Flag pulled out his Glock from his holster before pointing it at the ivory head ghoul.

"Stop it! Kaneki! Don't make me do this!" Flag shouted.

Kaneki stopped before taking a step back at Harley. He wiped his mouth with his hand while glaring at Flag who is still pointing the gun on him.

"Sorry, Rick-san. But I couldn't control my hunger anymore after they almost killed me. I can't risk losing control of myself." Kaneki informed before his eye turned red and black again, "Besides, Amanda-san said I could take a bite in any prisoner in here, if necessary."

"Just don't do that without saying anything." Flag put his gun back on his holster before the ghoul's left eye turned back to normal, "For a moment there, I thought you already lost control of yourself, Kaneki."

"If I lost control of myself, you would be dead since ghouls are very strong when they're very hungry. But they will lose their senses." Kaneki began, "A ghoul's hunger is an utter hell. Many have gone insane from it. If I become like that, don't hesitate to kill me."

"Sure, Kaneki." Flag agreed. But on the inside, he was doubting himself if he could really do it. He's the only teenager he knew that suffered from hell.

Wayne Manor

Kaneki opened his closet and saw a row of black leather jackets and black tank tops inside. He was on his school uniform, but he was planning to skip school.

"You really love black, don't you?" A gruffly voice came from behind.

Kaneki turned around and saw that it was Bruce, "I could say the same to you."

Bruce smirked and handed the emo a Walther PPK. Kaneki examined the gun before putting it in his drawers.

"It's time for you to learn to use that since you finally know how to drive. We'll leave tomorrow. But you will still go to school today. Okay?" Bruce asked. He found out that Kaneki was planning to skip school again, so he could meet up with Flag and Lawton at Belle Reve.

"Fine." Kaneki groaned. He didn't like school. It was boring. He wanted to stay with Bruce, or the rest of the squad, but he must do this, since it's for the sake of his new identity.
